Agree Investsucess. I felt oversold too. Their current price is definitely cheap for long term hold. I am just very skeptical of our stupid PH government. No MRT3 or HSR will definitely depressed the whole sector.

For me it is all about risk assessment. I bought mom at 46sen and son 11.5sen sold all last Friday because of the fact I know it will definitely fall this week and I am not willing to take that risk. Now question is how much will Econpile contract worth - we dont know. Will they buka and re-call all tender - dont know, QR good or bad? - dont know. When will QR start recovering? - Dont know. I for sure know other than ECRL, no more big infra and development projects in pipeline for 1 year at least. A lot of their project also KIV because developer don't dare to move projects because no property demand. Among all construction stocks, I love econ the most due to its market dominance in substructure works. I have dealt with Econ many times even before they were listed. So i am very sure of their projects capabilities, overall construction sentiment and their projects developer.

Every stock already run too much since Jan, plus bleak 2019 outlook for Malaysia. Alot more to drop if compared to the bull run since Jan, but I notice Mflour still quite strong. Should be able to hold above 70sens.

Don't worry people. Cut loss now if short to mid term, hold if super long term. Wait for 50-53sens. Every other construction stocks got more to drop if compare their current price and January price, so I dont expect econ to recover anytime this year unless MRT3.

I'm planning to come back in. Econ may touch 50sen in short term if no news by the gov, it is time to move to non construction counters. Will only start collecting if touch 50 again as this coming quarter will still be bad, watch out.

Punter, In my honest opinion they cannot prata already. They have lost 50% of chinese trust and almost 90% of the malays that supported them. They lost 3 by elections, they will have to splash and improve our economy or else they cant stay as gov next round. I think moving forward more projects will come but no doubt margin will be squeeze slightly (only slightly) because corruption masih ada.

Why I took profit last Friday is also because the coming risk is will Econpile contract be negotiated and how will their QR looks like, that's all. Monitoring the movement very closely. Econ is no doubt good company but construction as a whole is not fully back to health.
