In the context of AZ vaccine, you need to compare the likelihood of dying from a blood clotting side effect NOT to the likelihood of just getting covid-19 (which is relatively quite 'survivable') BUT to the likelihood of actually dying from covid-19

Similarly, in the context of Pfizer vaccine, you need to compare the likelihood of dying from an anaphylaxis side effect NOT to the likelihood of just getting covid-19 (which is relatively quite 'survivable') BUT to the likelihood of actually dying from covid-19
