@ uniewehuat123, Depeche.....If you check the past trading records in Feb 2017. Dnex share price actually started moving up 2 trading days before release of Q4R16 on 20 Feb (Mon).
On 16 Feb (Thur) share price went up 2 cents from 0.285 to 0.305,
on 17 Feb (Fri), share price went up 3 cents from 0.305 to 0.335,
on Q4R16 release date 20 Feb (Mon), share price shot up another 4 cents from 0.335 to 0.375.
Then on 21 Feb (Tues) share price went up 1 cents from 0.375 to 0.385.
Subsequently, share price went up to a peak of 0.45 before retreated slightly and traded sideway for almost a month until early Apr before the next wave started.

Trading these 2 days looks more like some big investors are controlling share prices to collect at 0.475/0.48 for mom and 0.24/0.245 for son. Share price likely to move up steadily next week if Q2R good, which I anticipate will be good compare with Q1R. Cheers.

@JJChan....you are probably right, hopefully your optimistic prediction is correct. I remember MD had mentioned in the last AGM, profit contribution from the Anasuria North Sea oilfield project only started in the last quarter of 2016 (meaning contributed for only last 3 months). MD pointed out for this year, profit contribution from Anasuria project will be over the whole year (12 months). So we can expect Anasuria project to contirbution much more profits in the 2017 financial year compare with last year. Cheers.

@JJchan......Fully agree with you. On 16 Jun last year, share price closed at 0.25. The next day after release of Q2R with net profit of RM 89.5 mil (included one-off gain of about RM 80 mil), share price closed at 0.245, dropped 0.5 cent. Subsequently share price stayed around 0.235-0.25 before dropping to 0.21 on 21 Jun 16. There you see... after release of Q2R last year, there was no panic buy, so I don't see any reason there will be panic sell after release of coming Q2R. If Q2R17 can deliver a net profit exceeding RM 15 mil (meaning good result) , I would expect share price to go up steadily after release. (Check for yourself past trading records to belief). Cheers.

A note of caution when interpreting the coming quarter resuls Q2R17 to be released next week…….. Do not just dumb, dumb compare Q2R17 with Q2R16. Bear in mind Q2R16’s profit included a non-operational one-off gain (investment return) from the Anasuria project of about RM 80-81 mil (you can confirm this with page 8 of the PDF attachment to Q2R16 announcement on 16 Aug 2016 in the Bursa website). After taking out the one-off gain the net operational profit of Q2R16 is actually less than RM 10 mil and not RM 89.5 mil as report. Also take note that the net profit of last quarter Q1R17 is RM15.08 mil. My prediction for Q2R17’s net profit is RM 15-20 mil. If net profit of Q2R17 exceeds 15 mil, I would consider it a good result as compare with Q1R17 and much better result than Q2R16. If net profit exceeds Rm20 mil, then it is considered an excellent results. For long term investors, don’t panic sell if you see Q2R net profit drops by 70-80% if compare blindly with net profit of Q2R last year. Cheers.

No big news. Dnex is just setting up a new subsidiary company called Dnex Imizu. Dnex had subscibes for 55% shares of the new company and the remianing 45% by Miresco Integrated Sdn Bhs, a subsidiary of I-mizu, a Japanese Company specializes in production & selling of health drinks.

The present NSW contract is expiring Sep next year to be replaced by U-Custom System. However, MD did mention in the last AGM, there is still a possibility the NSW contract get extended again if U-Custom System not ready by then. He pointed out that NSW contract so far has been extended twice, it may get extended for the third time. Even if NSW contract doesn't get extended after it expires, MD has mentioned Dnex will still be able to retain about 70% of existing businesses from NSW project as Dnex will be appointed as one of the two service providers for the new System. Due to 'stickiness' of the NSW system, MD expects most existing clients will stick to Dnex for serivces. So for long term investors, no need to overly worry about expiring of NSW contract Sep next year.

Ohhh...Yeahhh...Myeg is a good company to acquire and merge with.....But there is a possibility Dnex is acquiring and merging with Censof. Recall on 24 July, MD had announced in his briefing to The EdgeMarket, Dnex's IT unit is in advanced talks to acquire an IT company. Censof is an IT company and is current the 2nd largest shareholder of Dnex, holding more than 13%. Also Dnex's executive Deputy Chairman Datuk Samsul is also one of the big boss and major shareholder of Censof. Datuk Samsul had announced on 13 July Censof had appointed Dnex as the reseller of Financio, a cloud-based accounting software developed by Censof. I hope Censof is not the IT company MD is targeting as Censof is not a good company financially based on its QRs over the past 3 years. Hope to see some sunny days for Dnex next week. Cheers.

Not to overly worry about NK tensions. Without China's support, US won't dare to start the war. If I have heard from radio news correctly, China has made his stand clear, that is, if NK attack US first, then China will maintain neutral, so NK won't dare to start the war. Also if US try to change the territory of North Korea, then China won't keep quiet, meaning they will be on NK side I guess, so US also won't dare to start the war. China definitely wouldn't want to see the war get started as it will affect them badly and will try to stop US from starting the war. So in the end all flexing muscles, talk only, no action (NATO). Dnex share price dropping to 0.40 I think quite unlikely unless world market sentiment really very bad. Bear in mind MD purchased 130 mil Dnex shares at 0.43 on 10 Apr from one of the Director En Azman Karim. I am not so worry about NK tension. I don't think war will break out as China won't allow war to occur. Crazy Trump just big mouth only like someone has mentioned. Stupid Sin Chew Daily and BIMB Research, after causing damages to Dnex today has rectified their reports. In the report this afternoon, Sin Chew Daily quoted CIMB Research, reporting NSW contract ending in Sep 2018 next year. 2 days ago, they reported NSW contract ending next month.

I doubt there is any bad news brewing for Dnex. More like some big sharks are manipulating and pressing down share price to collect. By now big sharks probably have some inside news on Q2R. If big sharks are disposing off their shares, they'll probably push up to throw and not press down to sell. During the period of uncertainty before release of QR, it is easier for big sharks to manipulate and press down share price as whenever there is heavy sell down, many weak holders who doesn't trust the MD will follow sell, expecting bad upcoming QR.

Last year Q2R was released on 16 Aug, so some website probably assume this year Q2R release date also 16 Aug. I guess 22 Aug is a more likely release date for Q2R this year. Q1R his year was released on 24 May. The earlier Q2R is released, the better for the stock as uncertainty on financially results will be cleared after Q2R is released. I still trust the MD and optimistic Q2R will be better than Q1R.

Really funny... when Dnex share price goes above 0.60, I didn't hear anybody saying the stock is over-valued, but when share price comes down to below 0.50, some expects start telling the stock is over-valued. Are these people giving sincere views?

Ivy's boss or even MD also cannot confirm Dnex share price will go up soon, unless his boss is a big shark. Haha....I guess only big big sharks can decide and confirm when the share price will go up. @kelvin62.....Don't keep complaining about company issuing ESOS shares at cheap cheap price 0.245 without doing your homework. The ESOS shares issued and listed in this year were offered to eligible staff in Sep last year at issue price of 0.245. At offer time, Dnex market price was about 12-13 % high than 0.245. So the issue price is very reasonanble. In fact after the ESOS offer date, Dnex share did drop to 0.225 in early Dec 16, below ESOS issue price of 0.245. If you are smart you could have purchased Dnex at 0.225/23, so don't complain about low ESOS issue price and envy the staff. that is thier entitlement. Company needs to reward their staff and many publicly listed company also doing that. Many of the staff are luckly, they only took up the ESOS shares this year when Dnex share price is good.

0.50/0.24 likely to be the lowest price for mom/son today . Hopefully afternoon will have a rebounce. Cheers.

If someone can get a copy of the full rubbish report from BIMB Research, foward it to Dnex Management and request the Dnex Management to come out with a clarification statement, then I think it will be more effective in mitigating damages done by the stupid BIMB Report.

Dnex's heavy sell down these 2 days could be partly due to by BIMB's
rubbish report on Dnex, published in Sin Chew Daily's financial section today. In the BIMB report, it recommended hold with TP of only 0.60 due to uncertainty in the future of Dnex. It was mentioned in the report Dnex's NSW project contract is ending next month, which is not true, the contract will only end in September next year. Also mentioned in the report due to low crude oil prices recently, profit contribution from North Sea Anasuria oil field project may be delayed further. This is also not true as the Anasuria Ansuria project has started contributing to Dnex's profit since last year.

@KingDavid....I think your reasoning is not correct. Censof owes 314 mil of Dnex shares, so you are right, Dnex's performance will affect Censof share price but not the reverse. Censof's performance will not affect Dnex share price as Dnex does not hold any Censof shares. How can Censof be a burden to Dnex?

I hope the target company Dnex intends to acquire or merge with is not Censof. I guess many shareholders are also not in favour of Dnex acquiring or merging with Censof as Censof is not good financially based on its quarterly results over the past 3 years. Cheers.

I don't think the unexpected heavy sell down today is due to bad Q2R. I still belief Q2R will be good and better than Q1R. I am not so optimistic about the upcoming aquisition/merging plan of Dnex. Probably some big investors with inside news are not in favour of Dnex's acquisition/merging of IT related business and starting disposing off their shares. I belief Censof could be the target of aquisition/merging which many big investors are not in favour of.
