Estimate the only unprofitable associate is still IAA. However their loss will be narrowing down on coming quarter before it'll further improved in 2H.

PAA is showing the good sign of improvement in coming quarter result due to lower fuel jet, improved passenger load. If the operating expense cost other than fuel jet cost can be maintain the same level as previous quarter, it is high likely PAA will break even or minor loss or even with little profit on coming quarter.

I'm more on little profit side.

High chance PAA to break even or little profit or loss with no more than RM10 million to mother AA on coming quarter result. Any other opinion?

If IAA able to turn around by 2H, we may expect its IPO plan on next year too.

Read all the good sign from news recently, it seems that PAA is really on turn around path. One sign is confirmed that their last quarter loss is narrowing down. TF did a good job for TAA. IAA is his next target to turn around by 2H. PAA & AAI is on the path of turn around.

asia, my opinion is that we can't compare how TF manage the QPR compare his manage AA. There're too many differences in between of them. What l know is that one can very good in managing and succesful in his career but not necessary he can manage his family properly. The rich normally have very well managed company but look at their heir...lot of them being spoilt until good for nothing.

asia, you are whipping the sick horse like hell to what l observed here. Yup, even it is a sick horse but there's possibility to recover one day and turn him into black horse. Forex loss is just paper loss. Loan term of AA is over 10 years, no need to too worry about forex loss as US appreciation is not continuos lasting up to 10 ten years long. Once it is up it will go down again. By coupler of months l believe it will go down to 3.7 to 3.8. In between who's know the US Fed rate hike will be delay due to impact from Yuan devalution. There is also sell and lease plan in place to counter for forex loss concern. Load factor increases coupled with lower jet fuel price, business getting better in Thai, TF next target to turn around for PAA & IAA... Those are positive factor. For negative factor, let TF take time to resolve it. The good example of TF successfully resolved the negative factor is Thai AA. It takes him more than 5 years to turn around TAA.

I don't think Malaysia economy is so worst as pictured by you. Rather the current set back is temporary due to lower comodity price, US dollar appreciation. Our Trade is surplus not deficit, the foreign reserve still close to 100 billion which can last for 7 to 8 months for imports. GDP still growing at 4 to 5%.

Not only in malaysia, Thai AA is doing good now.

Thai AirAsia has so far carried 66 million passengers, with the number this year alone expected to reach 14 million, about half of Malaysia AirAsia's tally.

On Indonesia AirAsia (IAA), Mohshin said operationally, IAA is still struggling to shake off the negative impact from the QZ8501 incident in December 2014.

"The 71.4% load factor achieved in 1H15 is well below the long-term average load factor of 76.6%. We forecast IAA will continue to be loss-making in 2Q15, which will inhibit its ability to repay the parent airline," he said.

"Should this situation persist to the end of 2015, we think the auditors will very likely require an impairment of the IAA associate," he added.

Nevertheless, Mohshin believed the market has already priced in this risk into AirAsia's stock price.

asia, u are right. Forex losses will be more than gain in lower jet fuel but the next quarter Forex losses is limited due to only about 1% USD appreciation compare to 1st quarter.
