This is old news dated back to 2008 where attempts was to privatize the AA but it was not successful due to insufficient funding if not mistaken.

JAKARTA: The Indonesian government has declared 13 airlines to have turned their equity positive and would not face suspension, including Indonesia AirAsia, the Investor Daily reported, quoting Suprasetyodi, transport ministry's director general for air transportation.

The government found these airlines to have "negative equity" in July, the paper said.

TF alone l think is lack of fund to do so. If TF really have intention to privatize AA, that mean he have seen the potential of associates to turnaround is high.

I mean the major shareholders are finally the owner/shareholder of privatized company. After getting associate turn around, relist AA later so that each of them can enjoy the fruit.

It won't press down price. Those have not buying yet might worry price will shot up tomorrow. But no worry, whether privatisation will happen remains to be seen.

I just reviewed the DBS alliance report of target price for AA at RM1.05. They derived this target price after including write down of RM1861 million of non current amount due from associate IAA & PAA... etc. This equally assumed that its associates are unable to turn around, continous in making loss, fail to pay debt and at brink of close operation.

It might too much in providing such a worst scenario while there's signs that PAA will breakeven or turnaround in 2016 and IAA is in efforts rejuvenating itself to improve its operating result which might finally turn into profit by 2H of 2016.

Look like news is out. Let see how receptive this news to investor. Joke of the year 2015? TBD.

Indonesia Transportation Ministry will soon announcing whether IAA will meeting the GOVT positive equity requirement after evaluating the documents submitted by IAA.

Two possible way to meet positive equity requirement:

a) capital injection alone
b) Merger with IAAX + capital injection
