Very lousy stock picks...losing money even when market going up...balik kampong tanam sayur lar Saturn...

At this point Saturn has an idea of what he meant by defensive is all I can say....

For avg family with school going children, tuition, activities.....would travel 50km a day and 1400km a mth at least and approx 17,000km a year. Assuming most cars at avg ( base on avg family) is doing 9 to 10km/liter, the total liter per month is 140 at additional rm28 per mth. for 20cents additional.
But then again avg family normaly have 2 cars and 2 person working which will double that to rm56 per mth additional. Maybe not a lot for some but Rm 56 apart from using for petrol can be use for tuition or more importantly additional insurance premium today because cost of living is too high and if anything were to happen to a member of an avg family earning incomes, this insurance will be handy especially when one loses the ability to earn.
A lot of families are just making ends meet and with the coming impending GST in 2015, this would also mean no more luxury outside the essentials. And worst will happen if minimum wage is enforce because minimum wage would mean efficiency maybe deteriorate.. Just look at Goverment department.......so now we have to pay more for less productive personnel with less output but more cost. Where do we think it will eat into our pockets?

All of use know that all our small commitments add up to a significant number and we wonder why we don't have money at the end of the mth when we thought our salary is enough......we never factor in car service, car insurance, car breakdown cost or family member hospitalized or worst......so then again we think of insurance again as preventive but we don't have the additional.

The only problem I see in the statement from Michael Yam on the lack of supply is the lack of supply is on affordable homes. We have seen almost all developer we are use to all move up market. Take Sime for instance, the use to build affordable home.....but now they are at premium, similarly Mah sing, sp setia, .....the rationale is pricing....but I believe they will come back to terraces because these houses are fetching from 600k and above outside the boundary of key locations......

Of course you can Inwest......defensive stock is important.....as of now till end of the year... The stack up is more negative than positive. As we know negative go down 2 pts and positive just 1 pt. fr EMA and SMA and Klci....this is true at this point until the next bull we can do another averaging.
China PMi will show gd again coming but the unemployment and manufacturing in US and unemployment in Europe must match for the next push.....

I was trying to show when comparing big telco is to show that the masters are all having a tough time and smaller players must reinvent by showing something more in services or packaging or.....to be competitive.

Again I am not suggesting its a bad company....from what I know, this company is has a revenue (TTM) 3.4 M and Net income still negative. Restructuring may mean some well but still not proven. good luck.!

Invest88 and Jason, find out more on telco ....take for instance, TdC and Telekom. And Maxis and etc....they are struggling on different reason. In TM case, one thing for sure they have been trying to recoup their investment (in past years) and now moving into very aggressive into streamlining. They did wholesale to Maxis and a couple of others on their broadband. Which turns out those they sold to are reselling cheaper then them. As for maxis the listed is local business as oppose to the old listed Maxis (again its limited investment) and of course TdC is reinventing itself to be agressive and leading on global partnership with more submarine cable investments. At a global level, this is also very tough becoz everyone is partnering everyone else. So now whether you are a supplier to the Telco or considered a Telco or a architect for the telco, all this are streamlined which means the cost and implementation are also squeeze and contracting.

I think the question is whether there is any new technology or new content to compete on. Infrastructure wise everyone is talking on reducing cost to improve bottom line and increasing sale. So in Instacom case, are we talking about political connection or are they a very capable company or are they having many good business partnership. As of now, I only hear Sarawak and what was promise during GE.

For all your sake I hope it goes up but this is untested water. Success Transformer went down like a rock and stayed down for few years......read it up in his blog and match the timing to historical price.....went up to 1.4x and dropped like a sack of potato.....

I would advice to look see. He is not a real expert. He is responding to my comment the other day. Be aware he failed several times and one of it is Success transformer. This was what I wrote, note the date also.....my stock watch group having a good laugh...lol

Don't listen to this guy Dali. Let me assure you this. He called for Success Trandsformer many years ago and called it a No brainier in buying becoz it was taking in SEB. After that call it was down down down and a lot got burn.
