And Fernandes is right once again:
The AirAsia Group recorded a load factor of 80% for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013, representing an increase of one percentage point compared with the same period last year. The total number of passengers carried for the whole group increased by 20% year-on-year to approximately 9.99m. This was in line with the increase in capacity, which stood at 18%.

This are only plans....."Malindo is planning". They planed so much till today...
First they want to expanse in the malaysian domestic market because AA is making there a lot of Money. Then they saw ist not working to compete with AA there then...they try their Chance with ATR from Subang. But ATR'S are no planes for lowcost!
Now...the CEO is "planning" to expand their Network on international routes.
On one side they want to concentrate in KL to connect their passengers....but why then Expansion in Subang? And.."planning" further routes out of Kota....
Many "planning" for such a small Company...

BullBear..once again...use links for your comments!!!
http://centreforaviation.com/analysis/malindo-emerges-as-lion-groups-main-international-carrier-with-nine-new-routes-from-kuala-lumpur-121982
"There will be challenges. Malindo will face intense competition across all its initial international routes from both LCCs and full-service carriers. It will also need to build up its brand overseas.
Malindo will be able to leverage the strong Lion brand in Indonesia, where the Lion group accounts for about 50% of the domestic market. But India and Bangladesh are completely new destinations for the Lion group. Malindo will need to work hard on developing local distribution solutions for India, where travel agents and online travel agents account for an overwhelming majority of bookings.
Pursuing international transit traffic also represents a completely new segment for Malindo and Lion, exposing the group to a different set of competitors including Singapore Airlines/SilkAir."

So how BullBear?????

We have mid august...what will do malindo with the additional planes in sept..just a few weeks to go? Parking on the tarmac or flying empty? Both ways burn money....
2013-08-15 13:37 | Report Abuse
And if the market to dehli and mumbay is soooo good...why you think have aax canx that two routes? And now you think that a new brand that nobody knows in india will have success? ;-) If malindo will start on these routes they will burn more and more money!
Btw..Kuala Lumpur still is a gateway from indonesia to the rest of asia...thanx to AirAsia :-)

AA Indonesia will go to the stockexchange in Q4 or Q1 2014.
Hmmm, let me think....now BullBear will say: Be Special careful now....AA is near the end....
If they were listed in Q3 then he will say: Wakakakakak.....too expensive..no Chance against the big Lion Air in Indonesia....Investors have short memories Folks....
I think BullBear will find some of his few words to tell us that this will be the end of AirAsia ;-)

You can see it from the other side...if AA can take higher Price...then the flights are better booked. Ist all around yieldmanagement. And for us shareholders a higher Price is better then a small Price.
I think AA knows exactly what they do Folks....theyre not new on the market.

BullBear we dont believe you because your Dates are wrong! There is a mistake in the System of KLIA! Flights that were taken out of the flightplan still remaining in the System and shown as cancelled! The same for flights where the departure time has changed for 10min for example!
1825 10/08/2013 10:40 PM KUALA LUMPUR-SINGAPORE CANCELLED
AK 1826 10/08/2013 07:00 AM SINGAPORE-KUALA LUMPUR CANCELLED
AK 1825 11/08/2013 10:40 PM KUALA LUMPUR-SINGAPORE CANCELLED
AK 1826 11/08/2013 07:00 AM SINGAPORE-KUALA LUMPUR CANCELLED
You can post this flight every day cause AA decided some months ago to stop the "nightstopper" at Singapore. So this flight dont excist anymore since at least 2 months but still remains in the KLIA-System!
AK 1454 10/08/2013 07:40 PM KUALA LUMPUR-HO CHI MINH CANCELLED
AK 1455 10/08/2013 12:00 AM HO CHI MINH-KUALA LUMPUR CANCELLED
AK 1454 11/08/2013 07:40 PM KUALA LUMPUR-HO CHI MINH CANCELLED
AK 1455 11/08/2013 12:00 AM HO CHI MINH-KUALA LUMPUR CANCELLED
This 4th daily flight to SGN is out of the System too for the whole summerseason. Ist not bookable! That means not ist canx! I will come back from November.
D7 0303 10/08/2013 07:15 PM HANGZHOU-KUALA LUMPUR CANCELLED
To Hangzhou AAX changed the flighttimes and on some days the flightnumbers! Dont you feel curious that only the inboundflight was canx in your list and not the outgoing?
And on Kuching and Kota....with 15 flights per day each.....i think anybody with some interest in aviation knows that AA and MAS put more frequencies on these two routes just to make it very hard to handle for Malindo! And it works...yields and loads at Malindo flights are very low.

They have never ever an load of 100% in the ATR ;-) Karin you belive in myths :-). You can book all flights one day in front. And when you can book the Promotion Price 2 days in front of departure they havent 80% in the 737 ;-).

Malindo wirth two new routes from mid September...KUL-Langkawi daily and KUL-Penang 11 times a week....opposite to their own flights from Subang on These routes lol!
I think BullBear will use this News to celebrate competion with AA. They fly These routes 9 and 10 times daily!

So nearly since 2 weeks no purchase. Mr Bullbear there you go....
2013-08-06 23:02 | Report Abuse
He needs to do some mathematics: Actually they have 20 flights a day with 739...when theyre all full they could carry around 580.000 passengers from July to the end of the year. The ATR-Operation can bring around 380.000 passengers till the end of the year...together around 950.000. They had so far just 150.000. So the max would be around 1.1 Mill....if all flights are full! Yes..maybe there will be some new routes but you really ecpect all flights full when you see what they cancel during the last months? So lets give them 70% load...then they will have around 800.000 passsengers till the end of the year...Maximum!
I just checked the flights during the next day. There are many flights with still promo fares just 2 days in front of departure. So you can expect a weak load and a lot of losses!

They fly to These cities since June...
But Folks...lets concentrate on a real Airline with high profits and good numbers: AIRASIA! :-P

That means malindo had just 1000 passengers a day so far....a long long way to 3 mill with a lot of loss making flights.

Lol so how look to LionAir :-P
And they are not all for growth my friend...but im sure you know that! The newest will replace older aircraft!
But lets talk about the new number BullBear:
Philippine AirAsia load factor up from 48% to 74%! Passenger numbers up 114%!
Indonesia AirAsia load factor up from 78% to 79%! Passenger numbers up 33%!
Thai AirAsia load factor up from 79% to 82%!
AirAsia Maylaysia load factor 80%! Passenger numbers up 12%!
The whole Company had 9.9 Mill Passengers in Q2. ( +20% )
