This is the reported progress of the Phase 2 Bukit Ibam gold mine earlier February this year:

".... had identified additional gold mineralization at the on-going Phase 2 of the Bukit Ibam Gold Mine."

Everything carries risks to certain degrees but the price of Gold spot won't just plummet for no reason and it's definitely will still have its value over the time period. A time proven medium that preserves wealth for centuries is a strong testament. What are the other uses of gold besides preserving one's wealth?

bone, I believe the major catalyst would be its limestone marble blocks export business & its intention to build and operate an integrated cement production plant in the east coast of Sabah where the state government is in dire need of such facility to spur the economic growth of eastern Sabah.

Awaiting the Q2 announcement in the next 1 or 2 weeks time. I believe its XAU Gold spot trading segment is making a lot more profit to be reported soon since the Gold spot price has risen to the recent high of USD 1357.50 on 08-Sept-2017.

In the 3 months yet to conclude on the XAU trade profitability, Bornoil's XAU gold spot trade inventory has the following ascending cumulative number of contracts.

Apr 2017: 45,600 oz

May 2017: 56,600 oz
Jun 2017: 66,000 oz
Jul 2017: 78,000 oz

78,000 - 45,600 = 32,400 oz of XAU contracts increased at the end of the July 2017.

From the May to July 2017 period, the XAU spot price recorded the lowest and highest prices of 1205.02 and 1296.06 respectively. Today's XAU spot price stood at USD 1331 at the moment of writing. Either this upcoming Q2 or both Q2 & Q3 would record higher profits just from trading of the XAU gold spot contracts. So we will see if that is the case.

supergreat, the company's limestone division started to contribute revenues already in the previous quarter Q1FY17 in the form of receivable royalties amounting to RM 450,000. The Fast food franchise division still delivered a satisfactory 5.74% net profit margins resulting in RM 607,000 of net profit. I took notice that they have increased a few more pezzo registered franchise outlets after the previous quarter which you can count on their pezzo website.

Bornoil's mining division remains the best performing division with a 79.65% net profit margin in the latest quarter. The main reason for the skyrocketing profit margin within the division as recorded is due to the absence of "XAU Gold spot contract trading transactions" being recognized as revenues but instead measured as fair value through profit & loss in accordance with MFRS 139.

Both Pohkong & Tomei done very well. Both of them are easier since the floating shares are way limited compared to Bornoil which has 4.5 billion floating shares that needs more time to be chewed and push up.

kayce, from contruction to fully commissioning of an integrated cement plant, it would take 18 months typically. This estimated duration figure is based on a real case scenario as published by CMSB regarding its own first integrated cement plant in Sarawak fully commissioned in earlier 2016. You can read a bit more here http://www.cmsb.com.my/official-launch-of-east-malaysias-first-integrated-cement-plant/

"Construction began in July 2014, production ramp up commenced in December 2015 and it was fully commissioned earlier this year."

However, the time frame for Bornoil's own integrated cement plant will still depends on the scale of the plant & various factors but the bottom line for a feasible economically of such project would be well under 2 years.

Its borrowings are very low at MYR 773,000 only and its shareholders fund/equity stood at MYR 626,771,000 while its total liabilities at MYR 231,887,000.

231,887,000 / 626,771,000 = 0.37 (Debt-to-Equity ratio)

As seen from the ratio above which stood at 37%, it's not abnormal or over leveraged since most of Bornoil's businesses are generating positive cashflows. How many Malaysians have even maxed out their Debt service ratio over 80% by taking up home loans investing into multiple properties? That is even more dangerous which far exceeds BNM's guideline and threshold of 60%.

Apart from the already profitable Gold mining business in west Malaysia, the most anticipated new income stream will be the setting up of an integrated cement production plant to be based in the east coast of Sabah where its newly acquired limestone quarry land is located. This will be the next main catalyst since there is no clinker/cement plant in Sabah. Currently there is only one plant in Sabah located in the west coast that only "grinds" clinker which is a by-product of limestone mining operation. So Bornoil still can even supply the basic raw materials in making cement from its quarry to the west coast clinker grinder plant "Cement Industries Sabah (CIS)" to continue producing cement.

Why buy Gold bars when u can own part of a company that owns & operates 3 profitable gold mines? That is the physical Gold as the end products from its own mining operations. Besides that, it has RM 46 millions cash and also highly liquid Gold spot contracts (78,000 oz) on hand waiting to be sold/traded that are worth more than RM 400 millions based on USD 1326 per ounce gold spot price. The XAU gold spot price has been climbing non stop since July 2017. The company trades Gold spot contracts actively and that generates very lucrative profits aside from mining for physical Gold from its own mines. As shareholder of Bornoil, you're indirectly trading XAU Gold spot contracts but with the safety margin where the XAU trades are being managed by professionals and more importantly your risks are being hedged against with the diverse businesses of the group. From these, u can know Bornoil has very high liquidity where both the Gold bars and XAU contracts can be converted to cash easily or almost instantly. The company is well supported both morally & financially by its cornerstone investor which happens to be Hapseng's own tycoon Tan Sri Lau Cho Kun the sixth richest man in Malaysia based on Forbes list. You can verify it by checking their buying transactions in Bursa. Many here do not understand why they are buying into Bornoil. Pity.

This stock is deeply undervalued whereby its stock price RM 0.10 is half the value of its NTA at 0.20 in total while its PER stood at 10.6 currently. I haven't even touched on the in-depth discussions of the many land properties that it owns whereby many are not revalued since many years ago. Bornoil has 67 land titles of properties that are mostly mining/quarry/tourism oriented. The latest Annual Report 2017 has revealed that the company recorded an investment properties "revaluation gain" for a sum of RM 52,700,319 and there is no doubt that Bornoil has vast potentials banking onto the rarity of the valuable assets that it holds in which many are due to be revalued easily fit for asset valuation gains going forward.

http://www.investopedia.com/news/should-you-buy-gold-or-bitcoin/

There are several factors that make gold a strong safe-haven asset. It’s valuable as a material for consumer goods such as jewelry and electronics, and it is scarce. Regardless of demand, supply remains disproportionately low. Gold cannot be manufactured like a company issues new shares, or a federal bank prints money. It must be dug up from the ground and processed.

Gold usually performs well during corrections because even if it doesn't’t necessarily rise, an asset that remains static while others decline is quite useful as a hedge. Plus, as more people flee stocks and invest in gold, the price rises accordingly.

It’s much easier to get cash for gold than cash for Bitcoin. In the limited number of exchanges that allow fiat withdrawal, all impose daily limits, meaning that Bitcoin is not as liquid as it could be. People world-wide gold and are willing to pay for it while Bitcoin’s market is limited.
