i really doubt this stock buyback is going to drain OSK's cash position much. 3.++ million ringgit vs just the latest dividend from RHB of around 50 million ringgit. nonetheless, in terms of "bang for bucks", share buyback provides a much better value proposition vs dividend.

i doubt can privatize, due to its holding of RHB. suspect requires BNM's approval

OSK should split up the actual biz from the cash holding biz and list the cash holding portion, ie rhb shares holding. This will fully realize the value of the company. market can then evaluate the property biz and make a decision to invest in that part separately.

When market is tanking and one received margin call, guess which shares one need to sell to cover the hole? Everything. Puncak has no market depth, hence easy to be pushed down.
