When the cost of import iron ore is cheaper than local iron ore, Hiaptek can just import the iron ore and use its steel furnace to produce the steel product. This result in much higher profit margin. Many steel stock counters have no steel furnace capacity.

Precision engineering companies like Sam, Kobay, Hightec, Wong share prices all are going up fast. KeinHing might has good chances.

Latest quarterly EPS is 25.64cent. Better than market expectation.

Sad to know that Topglove profit dropped much more than expected, the latest profit was only 30% of the previous quarter one.

Don't need to do averaging down method to buy glove stock anymore. Should stay away first until the end of the downtrend of the glove stock.

Let say, in year 2022-2023, the average profit dropped 75% from latest EPS,
The average EPS per quarter= 37.75 X 0.25 = 9.44 cent

The annual profit in 2022/2023 = 9.44 x 4 = 37.76cent.

Anyhow, most investors still believe the glove ASP is gradually going down, bcs of more sellers than buyers, the share price will gradually going down as well. The valued investors with long term strategy will buy it at averaging down method.

In comparison with other aluminum counter, LBALUM is the lowest PE.

Misleading again for the Prestar(bonus 3 for 5) and Astino(4 for 5). The EPS of PRESTAR & ASTINO were pre bonus level. The share price for Astino & Prestar should convert to Pre bonus as such.

Prestar share price is 76cent x 1.6 =RM1.216
Astino share price is 72.5cent x 1.8 =RM1.305

Moreover, all the steel stocks have different "EPS calculation date" of their respective quarterly financial result. Some steel stocks latest EPS report from Feb to May & others from Mar to June. As we know we have many MCOs, e.g. FMCO starts in June, maximum man capacity is 60%. At different condition of MCOs, this EPS comparison is misleading again.

Different "EPS calculation date" also create another misleading due to changing in steel price.

Steel market price is still dominated by China market and policies. Due to China high commitment in carbon reduction the steel production is forced to drop at least 30% and no more tax rebate for China steel export. China also encourage recycled steel by using electric furnace to reduce carbon emission. This result in more than 40% drop in iron ore which is the raw material use to produce steel product. But the China steel consumption is still high in China infrastructure project and one belt one road initiative. Besides China, the reopening global economy in US, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia have to boost up their economies, the use in steel as basic material in infrastructure and building are unavoidable. Due to these high steel demand and low steel production, the steel price goes up steadily again and almost reach the record high.
The current steel price become sustainable and in uptrend condition.

This year, all China steel companies make huge profits and share prices are flying high as well. China carbon reduction policy result in much lower iron ore price, high steel companies profit and lower carbon emission. Malaysia companies steel price and profit will follow the China one. Malaysia steel companies are now the steel exporter to China to meet the demand in China, eg. 60% of the Annjoo steel production are export to China. With expanding steel furnace capacity, HIAPTEK steel business will enjoy higher profit margin and revenue in steel market.

All steel stocks are expecting to earn more profit due to high and steady steel price. As long as the share price is no more than forward PE of 10.

Our processing facilities which include an extensive range of cutting, levelling, shearing profiling, bending and finishing are cater for specific product requirements of our large customer base from diverse industries and to provide a one-stop solution to potential customers. The cutting and profiling facilities include a fiber laser cutting machine complete with automated loading and unloading facilities for inputs and outputs with overall processing speed of up to 5 times more than conventional laser cutting machines.

In addition, our Group also has downstream manufacturing facilities for production of welded steel pipes of which Phase 1 of the facilities with 2 production lines are in full swing since the second half of 2019. Another two (2) production lines are expected to be added in the second half of this year while Phase 2 of the facilities is currently at development stages and is expected to be fully commissioned in the second half of 2023.
