@gohkimhock - funny that you said there is no corporate exercise..they had just completed a private placement of 56,048,443 new Scope Shares on 18 March 2019 for expansion of their electronic manufacturing business..

also, the majority shareholder had crossed over 32 million shares to INVENTEC APPLIANCES CORPORATION, which signals a strong partnership in its manufacturing section

maybe a tip to you..don't simply make a statement before studying the company's recent announcements..you will make yourself look bad

@Philip Greta - not sure how you know so much details of their business (maybe you have a friend working there, or God knows how)..but my opinion is based on the facts and figures available in the company official reports..it is better for you not to speculate if you are not an official spokesperson of the company..

also, why would you assume that I am buying this stock to push to other investors? it really is low of you to simply assume like that..whereas like I said I am simply sharing opinion and it would be up to the market to decide the price of the stock

@newbie911 - refer to the chart..the volumes only started to enter recently around 20c area..the volume was too small before that hence it could potentially be negated..compared to the other cpo counters which have rallied for 3-4 weeks, this counter has not seen enough interest as it should..

@slts - refer above screenshot of company books, they have current assets of about rm 8.8m which should be sufficient for them to operatesnd turnaroud the company once improved earnings from plantation segment comes in

On Manufacturing Side, they have INVENTEC APPLIANCES CORPORATION (from Taiwan) as a business partner, with a 32 million (5.17%) shareholding in SCOPE.

IAC had acquired this stake in 2019. This partnership should contribute to better earnings in their manufacturing division in the long run.

Tip for beginner like u..invest at the early startup stage is where the biggest gains are made..as compared to chasing a stock which already moved up alot and so many promoters calling for it to go up to unload their low price stocks..

Profit taking is normal..in a bigger trend..be smart and catch in on a forced selling day..

@calvintaneng - you lost my respect with this not-so-smart comment..the comparison is totally not apple to apple..the potential revenue & profit that SEDANIA stands to gain from this JV is very significant compared to its current financials..with the current share price on the low range, there is alot more potential upside compared to downside

Like i said..MSM is in different industry (sugar)..sugar and postal are 2 very different things..we have to study them separately as in which law / act is involved ..

Pls read the Postal Services Act 2012..basically POS is obliged to maintain a post office for a certain amount of citizen numbers in an area

Therefore for it to perform this obligation..it can’t be loss making..how will they maintain the post offices if they keep losing money..

As for sugar it is a different industry..not compareable to this..

Past is past, hence why the price had went on downtrend. However, this recovery of impairment loss is a step in the right direction for the company to move forward.

Markets move based on future prospect, not past events.

@no right nor wrong only to win - better if you share some facts with the readers on your claim..don’t simply talk down others’ businesses without backup..u simply said their core business is lump and management suck without any data to back up?

@i3Value - let me ask you this, is it better to not recover a loss or to recover a loss that was recorded in the past as impairment loss?

Since you pointed out this matter, then I believe you should be smart enough to know that the sum recovered from previously declared impairment loss of RM 50.1 million is a hefty sum compared to its current market capital..this recovery is a really healthy change for its bank roll..

Therefore if we look to the future, this sum could be used by the company for expansion / working capital purposes which could further improve the financials in future..
