Up down is normal. This is stock market. We expect the price to go up and down and sideways.
What is more important is the near term and long term price. Say 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. Where this price is heading....So far... it is going North. So it is a good sign. 1 year track record is a good sign. I bought because of this track record. Up down is always normal.

Eddie - If I was someone who has no confidence, I will sell now and not wait. Better to sell and get out now.
Personally - I am confident they have strike oil with good quantity as this time around the announcement was signed and endorsed by the Oil Ministry of Oman itself.

Guys - Just browsing and found this to share here with you.....so, if you do strike oil, the quantities could be huge...lets wait and see. Here they are referring to 960,000 barrels per day in Oman...
France's Total Signs Oman Deepwater Drilling Deal
by Reuters|Thursday, December 12, 2013
DUBAI, Dec 12 (Reuters) – Total has signed an exploration and production-sharing agreement for a deepwater block offshore Oman, the French company said on Thursday.
Block 41, which lies off the Omani coast northwest of the capital Muscat, covers almost 24,000 square kilometres of seabed at depths of up to 3,000 metres.
"This acquisition is aligned with Total's ambitious exploration strategy focused on frontier basins and new plays with strong potential," said Arnaud Breuillac, Total's head of exploration for the Middle East.
One of the world's biggest oil and gas producing companies, Total is already involved in challenging deepwater projects off West Africa, in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. It plans to start exploring in the Gulf of Oman next year.
India's Reliance Industries had previously signed agreements to develop the offshore Blocks 41 but has relinquished rights to explore either of them.
Most of Oman's oil production is onshore. But Norwegian oil firm DNO started pumping oil and gas from Oman's first offshore fields, in Block 8 in the relatively shallow waters of the Gulf near the Strait of Hormuz, in 2012.
Omani oil production fell from a peak of around 960,000 barrels per day (bpd) in 2001 to 715,000 bpd in 2007, according to figures from BP, although improved techniques helped buoy output from mature onshore fields and raise 2012 output to 922,000 bpd.
Small non-OPEC oil producer Oman is also trying to boost its onshore gas output to meet booming domestic demand.

Potential for upswing is intact based on low volume today if testing is positive and the investors are not selling. That is true. We see today...8 days of testing. This week we will know.

This is my observation only..you are welcome to share yours.
Based on today quietness after the weekend, my feel is it is going to be good news. Those who have information would have shared over the weekend and if it was bad, this morning you would have seen selling pressure coupled with T+4. That was what I was interested to monitor.

Believe now is where all the T+4 will be coming out from Tuesday rush. Today is D-day for those who rushed in after the announcement.

kcyim1970 - In terms of percentage movement of course the warrant as it is a cheaper option. But the caution here is warrant has an early expiry period whereas the mother has not.
However from what I know - and having said that, a SPAC has a life span of 3 years since listing to migrate to main board, i.e. it needs to get a QA, call for a EGM and get shareholder approval within this stipulated timeframe.
If not, it will be delisted and 90% of IPO listed price will be refunded to existing shareholders. You may want to verify this independently also. Thanks

Personally - Sona need to announce the QA soon. Then only we can assess the viability of the QA and discuss during the EGM and shareholders meeting for approval. If anyone have access to the management of Sona, that would be a great start as it would tell us where they are heading now. I don't. Someone who can call and ask what they are planning to do in near future.
The price have been stagnant at this range for some time and I agree if it is a good QA the share price will move quickly but what if nothing happens, then it will stick to this range for some time. We have experience 1 month the share price have been holding at 0.45 to 0.50 range. Very tight.

Anyone here heard progress of the oil testing. Today is 4 days into testing if we consider REX suspended on Monday?

This is E& P company. No business yet. My guess is those who have faith that they have strike oil that will be produced are collecting at these prices, while weak holders are selling. That could be the reason why the volume suddenly shrunk.
Anyone have news on what is the status of the well testing or results?
2014-02-06 11:09 | Report Abuse
Ganasai - you said it absolutely right. This is all dependent on how much oil they find (with Well # 2 being the first) and what they do this year in all the other drills. Then only all the fundamentals will come into play.

Morning guys!
Wow! I woke up to see the barrage of ping pong session. Said good night on a happy note.
Bottom line is whatever said and done - we are here to make money. If Hibiscus is a share where we can gain, lets do it!
This personal attacks had to stop. Period! It doesn't do anybody any good. The price of the share will not change whatever you guys say here. It is dependent on others and what will be revealed later on.
Also - valuemaster - good of you to drop by although you don't own any shares. You plan to buy any as you must been keenly watching this share?

Whether it's OMAN or Norway or Australia - it doesn't matter at the end of the day - the end goal is the same - we are all here to make some serious money. I'll take RM4 from anywhere anytime.
The more you dig deeper, the more you get convinced they got it made this time.
Good night everyone!

Eddie - Thanks for the article. Interesting. It talks about range. No oil to oil. Now with assumption of oil it states RM5.20. I wonder how they work out these numbers and where they got their basis of US$5 per barrel of oil....hmmm.

Good to know the tide changes frequently back to positive here. I see no reason for sceptiscm as in a matter of couple of weeks we all will know the truth.
I personally don't believe the Omani government will sign and approve announcement that hints favourably of produceable oil. They will lose lot of face especially their Oil Ministry as they are supposed to be the experts in this area. That is why the announcement was so short and concise. Nothing technical. Purely factual.
The only question in my mind remaining is how many barrels? This the the magic question.

Duitbesar - It is purely your money and your call. Don't be influence by others.
This is a free forum. If Flowerpower is a believer of Hibiscus- it is his right. If you are not - it is your right. Nobody can force anybody to do anything different. We are all mature individuals and can make up our minds on what is good for us. No point being negative.
2014-02-04 19:39 | Report Abuse
Duitbesar thanks for your advise - I don't rely on others. I do my own research and talk to people and broking houses and search the web. Also I have been reading about REX in their website. They have a good website.
Well one thing for sure, Hibiscus has proven themselves. RM2 is a good entry point. Even without them finding oil it was already RM2. So what better price to go in? When it dropped last time also it recovered back to above RM2.
Anyway - don't get personal and emotional. Buy and sell at your own risk. This forum is to share information. No need to get personal. It is good if we can make money. Being emotional and irrational will not gain you anything.
2014-02-04 19:28 | Report Abuse
Personally - I believe if you wait till they actually wait for Hibiscus to officially make the announcement on how much oil was discovered, then it will too late to buy the share. It would have move up. Right now people it is a guestimate game.
I bought purely because I am impressed that they can strike it on well # 2. Although I also have Sona and Cliq. I am now heavily loaded on Hibiscus as they have proven themselves. This is my view and I don't expect others to follow. I am just stating what I am doing ok.

Sklyte - I sense some anonymity here. And you seem to be getting carried away like a small boy who lost his toy.
I feel you should move on. It is your choice frankly to believe or not what is written or stated here. Don't keep harping on it. It just bites you back and reflect badly on your personality.
I just bought today. Not on flowerpower recommendation but the fact that they have found oil on the second well. And if they can drill Well # 2 and find oil, I am banking on success other drills. 50% strike is good deal.

To be fair, and I am not picking any sides here, I also seen others doing the same to him / her. So it was like being in a war zone. Each attacking one another.
Glad it is over and hope it stays that way. Please lets not get emotional and personal. Idea here is lets all make good money.
We should share reliable information and then decide over selves what is good for us.
