Anyway, I know you meant well, just like me. Yes, that was when it was trading at above 20 sen and a lot of chasing. Now, it is at 13 sen. Selling is almost exhausted. Situations are different. I will be very worried if you tell me that directors are still selling at this price. Are they?

I will not be surprised to see some of you start chasing high again when operator ramps up share prices in better times(eg when oil prices go up to say US$60 or higher per barrel). That is the crude reality of the stock market.

I am not sure to what extent this current price has already factored in all the bad news, given its higher NTA. From now to next quarter is another 2+ months. Market operator will need to correct this oversold situation. So, there could be an oversold bounce for the operator to sell higher when sentiment improves. If we are still less confident of the prospects, then perhaps that is a better time to sell than now.

At current price, selling dwindles. Based on chart, it is deeply oversold. If not for the generally bad market sentiments, there should be an oversold bounce.

Stop imagining all the fear scenarios, if 12.5 sen current support is still not broken. Did you test the market? Do you know what is the average holding cost for the operator? Market is not as simple as we think.

If we look at the chart, it does not gap down for no reasons. First, on recent poor quarterly result; Second, on share consolidation. Please state facts by telling us why you will think it will gap down to 10 sen.

Greed and fear always plague the investors. At 25 sen, people still chase like no tomorrow. But at 13 sen, pp get so fearful. That is why operator always has his days in the market.

I believe 13 sen is a good entry point, given its NTA. But this loophole is already plugged by the operator today as penny stocks are in rebound mode today.

No, I use my observation. If you monitor the stock movement closely today, you can tell. Theoretically, share consolidation will serve to reduce the market float in terms of no of shares in the market, with a corresponding increase in share price after adjustment. So, investors do not lose out in terms of the aggregate value of shares after adjustment. But investors do not like it as they feel that they have less shares with them. And operator is exploiting on the current bad market sentiment to bring down prices.

Market is bad. Got to ride out this period.

The counter was goreng up from 21.5 sen to a high of 32 sen after the cash distribution announcement. Those who have sold at above 30 sen are said to have literally pocketed the 8 sen cash already. No need to shout here and there now.

This counter gets punished along with other export-oriented counters(also bad market sentiments) as ringgit gets stronger recently. It presents a good buying opportunity at current price if you still believe in its long term prospects.

Based on last quarter's result(a loss though), the NTA per share still stood at 18 sen(an improvement of 2 sen over the same period in 2014).

Based on chart, Genetec Technology started to move up in prices from mid August last year, when it was merely 13.5 sen. Now, it is back to 12.5/13 sen. It should present a good buying opportunity if you still believe in its potential.

This is good news in the midst of poor market sentiments.

To me, this is a shortchanged deal! Par value is reduced by 60%(from 50 sen to 20 sen), but cash distribution is only 40%(8 sen out of 20 sen). If it is an outright cash payout, why tie it with other condition?

Anyway, a goreng counter can still be goreng up if there is speculative demand for such deals.

Every crisis(meltdown) creates an opportunity. This drop is just an opportunity created by the big players to collect cheap and for us to buy low.

Ask yourself...

1. Is the result really that bad to bring about a change of fundamental? Have you lost confidence in the management?
2. Is this a loss making company with no future prospects?
3. Are you playing contra?

If the answers to all the above questions are NO, then stay calm about short term fluctuations. Should the need arise, do $ cost averaging on your holdings every 2 or 3 sens drop, provided of course if you have spare cash with you.

This stock should have greater support at around its 14 sen NTA per share(based on its last quarter's report) level.
