When Maybank peaked in 2013, its volume was 62 million. 2 days back during the MSCI sell-off, the volume was 0.216 billion, the highest since 1998, I suppose.
Could the EPF already overweight on Maybank? Would they silently sell whenever Maybank inch up?

U are right, xenos. They are playing the game with us to cari makan. D not know if there are EPF staff who got are damned rich just by following the game.
A friend of mine who worked at a stockbroking firm in the 1980s told me that he made a lot of bucks just by following his boss placing orders for the millionaires.

In fact, the whole telco sector. Axiata is also facing problems overseas as foreign gomens tried to milk it dry. All in all, a sector that is recession-proof has been mortally damaged. The sector lost RM42 billion in market value. EPF & KWAP having overweight position in telcos are all hit. In order for KLCI to inch up, what shares must be pushed up now? U guess but no prizes.

It is at its support level now. With big sell side, they may let it slide to get rid of these sellers before supporting.
Despite the drop in KLCI, the average PE ratio has increased, indicating most companies reporting below par results. The glut of shopping malls & condos in face of decreasing domestic demand, would banks see a drastic increase in NPL?

Gomen here increase spectrum fees. Other countries also try to other means to milk the telcos dry. Having regional footing does not necessarily shield the telco. Prospects for all telcos not good.

Support at 8.15 - 8.20. If it breaks, another storylah. KLCI index fell but the average PE ratio has risen, indicating companies reporting no-so-good results. The massive built of condos & shopping malls in face of dropping demand means massive NPLs for banks?? A recession in 2017? With the stock component of GDP growing in the last few qtrs, it means demand is on the decline.

Unfortunately, this is a fact of life. Just walk into any bank, customers who are qualified for the so-called "premier banking", "priority banking" and the like, do not have join the queue. They have a special dept to serve them. They enjoy preferential deposit rates, forex rates etc. which the small fish is not entitled. Every CNY, ang pow packets are reserved for them. Changing new notes is easy for them.
This is the so-called CRM -customer relationship management which every uni student majoring in business study. The purpose is to flush out the not-so profitable customers & spend more time and resources serving the more profitable customers.
Even casinos employ special software to track their customers spending habits & offers for 50% off hotel rates are given to them. What to do?

If u read Lundal's interview: "I'm guessing between 3 and 5 million and I have seen over 10 to 12 years-that changesm to whichever operator has the latest promotions ...They follow all promotions..The majority of them are probably multi SIM cards and lower ARPU cards... They are promotion seekers who shift around to the lowest promotions."
This group is akin to wanderers goes to any MNO or MVNO which offers any promotion. Any telco which got this type of subscriber has nothing to rejoice.. for they will be leaving when another MNO or MNVO offers something temporary. WEBE, launching another round of price war soon, will see them leaving "comfort in the new found line"

Even if MBB does recover, it is likely to be gomen funds buying rather than foreign funds. M'sia needs the world but the world does not need M'sia.

That style of playing is reminiscent of the 1980s & 90s. It is bound to fail today as the internet has made the playing field level a bit. Ppl now can glance at the charts to see for themselves whether it is worth risking their $$$. As early as Feb when CMSB was trading in the range of 5.00 - 5.16, the charts have already indicated weakness ahead.

Calvin, I agree with you. If it is the 5th Elliot wave ( taking into view the 1998 lows), then the KLCI would be riding along its down wave with intermittent rebounds.
This article appeared in "the Elliott wave Theorist" latest update, "Malaise for Malaysia's Stock Market: Just the Beginning?
The answer is not in China. It's on the Elliott wave labeled price chart."
Unfortunately, I am not a subscriber n am not able to read its conclusion.
