The company invested in a lot of listed company within Lion Group on top of its owned business of steel which is losing money. They have 17% stake in Parkson & FIB & Lion Corp. If it distribute parkson share to the shareholders each will get about 26 shares per 100 lion ind shares. Then, Lion Ind shareholder will able to realize value from the distribution.

Although Berjaya Phi, it is still a subsidiary of Btotal and may use the money from Btotal. That money can be used to pay dividend.. i am not sure what is the purpose of the investment as it is not core business of Btotal.

I just look the the company financial. the shares is currently traded closed to Net asset RM 2.68. It has cash & cash equivalaent of RM 3.4 billion. Should use the money to buy more of the treasury shares to support the comapny shares. why keep the cash earning low interest rate.

there is a lot of foreign brand coming in agresively like unilo ,H & M, Zara and also local Padini, brand outlet . Parkson like it or not have to compete with these brands for the high and the mid end market. Going forward it would not be easy.
