@cheng Mr.Ang did have a zoom meeting with shareholders the day after QR result out. He said the Myanmar coup would delay their expansion but did not say “it’s no longer viable”. So we can expect the plan to proceed albeit slower, just like their delayed factory commissioning in Sg Petani due to MCO in Oct 2020.

I was frightened when it’s shot up to 2.02 this morning, thought I’d lost the chance to buy more, luckily it came back down haha yesss!

The last dip in 2018 took 1 year to recover, from the peak to bottom dropped 50%.

I take the recent peak at 3.26, give it 50% discount we’ll be looking at 1.63. So it might not be the bottom yay, continue to avg down in batches fellow comrades.

Just hope it doesn’t bounce back up so fast.

For some reasons, I feel happy that thong guan is dropping to so low now..by right should feel anxious, but I feel quite comfortable with the fundamental of the company. Even better now because I see some tguan long term investors here, so we can keep each other supported hehe..

@pinnacle scientex is no longer pure plastic company, half of the revenue from property industry, if I want to invest property I won’t choose scientex for sure, their housing quality gets a lot of complaint for poor building material, that’s why it’s low cost. For plastic counter, I’ll choose TGuan anytime, they have synergy with fcgm segment

Historically their q4 has been the lowest profiting quarter, bear in mind this is with pandemic going on. Fmcg segment up 143%.

TG result out, maintain double digit growth, 1.5c dividend, did not hit 1b revenue, but overall I’m satisfied of its performance even under covid. Keeping it.

I call that BS from the edge. Stock price falling because there are more willing seller than willing buyer. External factors like resin price doesn’t move stock price. Besides, Alvin Ang already said that they have bought a lot reserve resin before the price went up, so it won’t affect their coming QR.

Personally I won’t cut loss since the company earnings have been increasing year after year. I’d kill myself if it flies after I cut loss haha!

I think the esos was offered to employees few months ago, just that it’s being exercised now as the expiry date is quite an extended period if I remember correctly. Having said that, I’m quite disappointed with this counter’s share price movement for the past 3-6 months. It’s been dropping ever since bonus issue despite fundamentals unchanged.

If it weren’t because of the latest QR, it would’ve started flying, benefited from the rising in crude oil price. Though I’m fully aware that dialog is a diversified OnG company, focusing more on midstream recurring income now.

There’s nothing wrong to prefer dividend. However IMO given Tguan is expanding the business I prefer them not to give generous dividends, use the retained profit to reinvest instead..but that’s just me la hehe

It’s okay, if you wanna goreng or trade you shouldn’t be in tguan anyway, the volume is relatively low. This counter is meant for long term investors who have holding power and don’t mind the intrinsic value taking time to be reflected in share price.
