He is currently a member of Audit Committee and Nomination Committee of the Company.

Datuk Seri Chiau Beng Teik is a Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman and also a major shareholder of the Company. He was appointed to the Board as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on 25 April 2017 and was designated as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman on 26 May 2017. He finished his primary education at SJK (C) Pei Min, Padang Setar in Alor Setar, Kedah in December 1974.

He started working at his father’s hardware shop at the young age of 13 in January 1975. After many years of experience gained from working with his father, he took over the business and ventured into the business of trading building materials and cement transportation under the name of Chop Chin Hin in March 1994. In February 1995, he started a cement distributor trading company named Syarikat Perniagaan dan Pengangkutan Chin Hin Sdn Bhd which is now known as PP Chin Hin Sdn Bhd. Over the years, he has played an instrumental role in the growth of Chin Hin Group Berhad Group and its subsidiaries, expanding the business from a single office in Alor Setar, Kedah to a group of companies with an expansive network of branch offices and factories throughout Peninsular Malaysia.

Currently, he is the Deputy Group Executive Chairman of Chin Hin Group Berhad and Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Green Ocean Corporation Berhad, the public company listed on the Main Market and ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad respectively. He also serves as Director for a number of subsidiaries within the Group of Chin Hin Group Berhad and also has directorships in various other businesses.

Earnings set to grow >20% p.a. in the next two years. SLVEST had enjoyed good earnings growth in the past two years where net profit rose 27% in FY18 and 35% in FY19m to RM11.1m, which was on the back of rapidly growing demand for solar PV. However, profit margin had compressed from close to 20% at operating level to slightly less than 9% in FY19 owing to the shift to LSS project from residential, commercial and industrial sub-segment as the former fetches lower margins. Going forth, we project SLVEST to register >20% annual earnings growth for the next two years on the back of order-book of RM184.5m.

Renewable energy a hot sector. With the government’s quest for greener energy with targeted renewal energy (RE) generation mix to 20% by 2025, demand for solar PV also grew rapidly which saw the installed capacity jumping 38% in 2018. Growth for 2019-2020 will be supported by the roll-out of solar plant project under the LSSPV program and NEM program. The total solar PV installed capacity is expected to grow at 50% CAGR to 3,322MWp by 2023 from 438MWp in 2018. Therefore, it bodes well for industry player like SLVEST. In addition, SLVEST is looking for expansion into the RE growing markets in Vietnam and Taiwan in the near future.

SLVEST, en route for a listing at ACE Market tomorrow, is a pure solar PV player which is involved in turnkey EPCC services for residential, commercial and industry properties and LSS plants, as well as being an owner of a 1MW solar PV plant in Pokok Sena, Kedah. Earnings had grown at >20% p.a. in the past and is expect to chart similar growth in the future given the rapid growth in the solar PV industry on the back of government’s support. It is NOT RATED and fairly valued at RM0.43. A pure solar PV player. Solarvest Holdings Bhd (SLVEST) is a fullfledged EPCC service provider in the solar PV industry. It is capable of providing turnkey end-to-end services from initial consultancy to site surveys, feasibility studies, application to authorities, systems design, construction, commissioning, as well as operations and maintenance of solar PV systems. It has track record in the installation of solar PV system for residential and commercial and industrial properties from Feed-in Tariff (FiT) mechanism to the current Net Energy Metering (NEM) mechanism and Large Scale Solar (LSS) PV. Armada is for the brave, when it was 0.18/0.19 - no one dare to buy?
Why ? There were many people who bought Armada during May 2014, it was at RM3.67, Sept 2014 RM1.35 Apr 2015 RM1.01, and Sept 2019 , RM0.325

Armada during 2014 in its glory day, Armada is consider the blue gem, the darling of Oil and Gas...
Then, it started to drop 3.67 to 1.35, 1.01, and 0.18....

Most people would think at 0.18 - they would not buy again...as they burnt their fingers during the 3.67, 1.35 , 1.01....

But there are some people who knows that where you fall, is where you pick up yourself again.
So, at 0.18/ 0.19, 0.15, 0.325, 0.45.... they are go in...and then, Armada seeing 50++, and very soon Armada will be seeing 60++...


Alam also the same, now Alam today is so cheap at 0.13...
Alam will be the same as in Armada, very soon, will be seeing the 50s
( Most people will not believe, but those people who believe in Armada will believe in Alam ).

As always, choice is always yours, to get rich, or to get richer.

As earlier, I did mentioned need to be careful when Salute quarter earning released, as expected Salute to show poor result.

Let us wait and see now, and wait for Salute to be stabilized first. Many people will be worry, as it is their hard earn money.
TO see Salute dropping to 0.745, is kind of scary especially for those who bought in at 0.8++.

Nazrin93 : There are people who drop KNM as their loss margin is getting higher and higher, that why they drop KNM and buy Alam.
Why ? as Alam is cheaper at 0.145, and have more potential to grow.

But there are also people who buy KNM at a much cheaper price eg 0.325, although KNM is now at 0.385, KNM still a profit, although a much smaller profit versus earlier price of KNM 0.465.

At 0.385/0.4 - KNM still a good buy for those who bought cheaper at 0.325 or below. If they buy more at 0.385, average out, it is still a small gain.

The questions now for other people who don't own any KNM ? will you get in KNM although the price is now much cheaper at 0.385/0.4.
Most people will not if they do not own KNM right now, as the down trend, no one will know for sure, when it will be the next run down again.

Stay safe everyone, depending on your own situation, choose which age you like to be.
To be with KNM at forties, going younger to thirties...

Ramada, I do agree with you, TY Yap said EWint is still undervalued at current price. Yes, I also agree with you, although TY Yap said Ewint is good, but we still need to our homework.

On Nov 19, upon TY Yap said about Ewint, that time ewint price was just 0.79, and after TY Yap mentioned ewint shot up to 0.825, and today Nov 21 - ewint drop to 0.815. ( after 2 days) - unable to hold the momentum.

What does this means ? It shows that Ty Yap is very influential and has a lot of followers and all his followers go in and buy ewint, that why from 0.79, it shot up to 0.825, but after 2 days, contra players/ those no holding power are flushing out.
Real investors are not going to buy ewint yet, as ewint price is not cheap yet.

Those still holding ewint, pls hold if you have the holding power, as ewint as a lot of potential of growth.
Those waiting to enter ewint, pls wait for price correction, as ewint will go sideways.

Lets us all enter ewint at a cheaper bargain price. Lets wait for dip before enter.
