Leverage is a double-edged sword.
For newbies out there, you may have been gaining from your investment this year but it may possibly be just riding the wave. If you're that good, your investments will definitely increase in time from re-investing your profits or additional investments over time using internally generated funds.

If you really believe you're that good, I believe a lower risk method would be to use your EPF Acc 3. Well, I'm not advocating this but at least it's lower risk than going on Margin Financing. Then, even if you lose, the worst you can go is zero and not negative. Also, you'll just need to beat the EPF average return of 5.95% and not 6.6%.

Nope, you won't get your dividend if you sell before ex-dividend. The earliest you can sell and and get the dividend is on ex-date, i.e. 1st July in this case but you need to note the market price will likely be adjusted on 1st July anyway

The Board of Directors of MBSB has recommended a Single-Tier Final Dividend of 3.5 sen per Ordinary Share for the financial year ended 31 December 2023 ("Proposed Dividend").



Based on the total number of ordinary shares issued of 8,222,312,432 as at 31 December 2023, the Proposed Dividend payable would be approximately RM287.78 million. The Proposed Dividend will be fully paid in cash. The approval for the Proposed Dividend will be sought at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.



The Book Closure date in respect of the Proposed Dividend will be announced after the Annual General Meeting.
