The side effect reported for Sinovac may be a sliver lining. One less competitor for Sinopharm Vaccine. Maybe after this, countries which had MOU/deals/ agreements with Sinovac will switch to Sinopharm instead.

Anyways think about it Pfizer vaccine requires -70C storage versus Sinopharm vaccine 2-8C. Which is more practical for South East Asia countries, including Malaysia?

Sinopharm has experience with WHO prequalification. They have vaccines that have been prequalified by WHO prior to this. Besides, they are working very closely with WHO on the phase III trial of Sinopharm vaccine. Hence, safety and efficacy is not an issue with Sinopharm Vaccine.

Besides, as i pointed above, Sinopharm phase III trial in UASE is the largest in the world which has the best chance of detecting any rare or serious side effects. So far, there are no serious side effects reported in the UAE trial. The vaccine has been reported to be safe and effective so far.
