Out of the 1,029 respondents polled in The Malaysian Insider survey carried out by the Merdeka Center, 54% said Putrajaya was not transparent in releasing information about flight MH370 which vanished on March 8.

In response to the question whether they thought Putrajaya had been truthful or had been hiding anything about MH370, 54% of respondents felt Malaysia had been hiding information, 26% said the government had been truthful while 20% were unsure.

As Robertson attempted to ask more questions, Hishammuddin cut him off and said in jest that perhaps there could be a separate session with CNN.

The CNN report said it was important to know when the military had told civilian authorities in Kuala Lumpur that its radar had picked up flight MH370 as the matter had become an increasingly contested issue.

obertson then asked Hishammuddin whether the crew and passengers of MH370 had been cleared by authorities.

"As I mentioned earlier, it is too early to clear anyone until the flight recorder has been retrieved from the aircraft," Hishammuddin said.

"There are questions which can only be answered once the black box has been retrieved," he added.

However, the CNN report said not all questions on MH370 were off limits. This was evident when Robertson asked the minister at the same press conference whether a decision had been made on who will extract data from MH370's flight recorders.

This time, Hishammuddin answered the CNN correspondent: "The Attorney-General is now in the United Kingdom discussing this issue."

At one stage, Robertson was apparently pushed away by one of the minister's aides and was heard saying "you don't have to push". He was later advised by Hishammuddin's aide to wait for the press conference.

At the press conference later, Robertson repeated the question but this time, Hishammuddin, who is also the Defence Minister, told the reporter that he was at the PWTC for the DSA 2014 event and would only answer questions related to the exhibition.

The CNN video showed Hishammuddin declining to answer the question, saying he was at the PWTC for a walkabout and would be holding a press conference later

The acting Transport Minister was at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) on Sunday to visit the 14th Defence Service Asia (DSA) 2014 exhibition when he was asked by Robertson on when the military had informed civilian authorities that the Malaysia Airlines flight had been picked up by its radar.

Hishammuddin Hussein, who has been at the forefront of Malaysia's efforts to locate flight MH370, found himself under CNN's spotlight yesterday after the global news network showed him ducking several probing questions from its senior international correspondent, Nic Robertson.

The union also called for a special fund to be set up to help the families of the MH370 crew members.

“Nufam is urging the government to also look into the affairs of these families as well crew members who gave their lives for national service,” the union said.

Earlier reports said companies in China have already started disbursing insurance payouts to the family members of Chinese passengers on board who had purchased life insurance.

Malaysia Airlines should make the insurance payouts to the families of all crew members on board MH370, beyond the RM20,000 already paid, the airline's cabin crew union said.

“It has been six weeks and the families have not received the rightful amount from the airline,” the National Union of Flight Attendants Malaysia (Nufam) said in a statement.

According to the union, only some of the family members have received the RM20,000 payout under an insurance scheme the company took out for aircraft crew members.

Directors buying is to con investors into chasing. You will see price surge only if the operator is buying. Get it?

That mean the factory that was razed by fire was occupied by Lii Hen Furniture (the main subsidiary which covered 20.39% of total lamehen turnover and 21.63% of lamehen group net profit). The move to Favourite Design old production line can only recover 80% of their yield with the balance having to depend on outsourcing. It is therefore safe to conclude that this fire will dampen lamehen profitability and revenue going forward until the fire claims are settled and new replacement lines and building are up.

So expect an ugly financial performance for 2014 from this lame and limping hen

Ahmad Jauhari, I really doubt you can help the airline. It is not the job of one person. It has to involve everyone in MAS.

With losses of RM1.7 billion last year, it is a mammoth task to overcome the damage. This damage did not come overnight but after 20 years of ‘sodomising’ the airline.

The improvement will take ages and it’s probably cheaper to liquidate the company. What a shame, a wonderful product being destroyed over the years by firstly incompetency and then probably corruption, and of course politics BN-style.

MAS soaring again? With the kind of management team, corporate culture of mismanagement, gross inefficiency and wastage, union troubles to mention a few, good luck in turning the company around.

The cynic in me is detecting another massive bailout in the making soon for this blundering behemoth of a company which just can't get its act together due to political interference and the sickening attitude:

"It's alright. Don't worry. No matter how bad things are, the government will always bail us out. They have to because we are carrying the Malaysian flag."

The opposition leader has accused the government of a cover-up on the missing Flight MH370 and the prime minister remains mum on this allegation.

Criticising Najib Abdul Razak for his silence, former minister Zaid Ibrahim said it is the prime minister who must respond, not the likes of Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar.

He urged Najib to respond to Anwar Ibrahim's allegations in Parliament.

If MAS takes chance and let him continue, MAS is really taking a risky gamble, which I think is sure to lose. Jauhari has proven not able to revive pre-MH370 crisis. And he will never do it post-MH370 given the bigger scale the economic crisis affecting MAS.

I am no apologist, nor spokesperson for AirAsia. But I never read any comments from AirAsia saying that the cracks on the runway cannot be rectified.

So, Nur Jazlan, do get your facts right. What is of concern seems to be that the repairs will be a recurrent nightmare.

Just look at the Bayan Lepas airport now, after so many millions spent, the driveway to the arrival hall gets flooded after a heavy downpour.

Yes, AirAsia is right to put its foot down - get the work right the first time rather than have the cracks as a recurrent nightmare.

It’s wonderful to blame AirAsia for the size of KLIA2 now. But who calls the shots - MAHB or AirAsia?
