One fine day I buy one lorry to sell vegetables.
I decide to sell vegetables for ten years, so I divide the cost of lorry for 10 years and match with my yearly vegetables sales.
Implications:-
1) my turnover match with my lorry cost, any excess is profit, shortage is loss,

In the case of Suria,repair and maintenance of port is my lorry, every year port operation generates profit.

Good or bad:-
It is Normal accounting entries, it is matching concept. Good application of accounting concept.

US has so many air lines, but Malaysia has only 3 major airlines, out of 3, AA is the strongest. If all 3 airlines go bankrupt, then Malaysia no airlines lor...and it is so difficult to start a new one from zero...

That is why you do notice that the share price is not the lowest when the current situation is the worst(e.g the selling price of their product is lowest). The lowest share price may appear when the future is the most uncertainty..

Share price is not based on current situation.
It is based on perception. If the first move begin on 4 May 2020 to resume restricted operation, then the market will perceive that the full gate is likely to open very soon...

This co is almost like dead fish.
The covid 19 has badly hit the company biz

Of all the counters I bought, this counter is the safest. U can buy in and sleep well and collect almost 6% dividend. The biz is monopoly with no rivals and have few hundred millions of money/ assets to collect in future.

The co is allowed in every 5 years to request the Sabah state govt to revise the port tariffs, the funny thing is that the one who approves the revision is also the main shareholder of this co, i.e Sabah government, who hold around 45% of this co.

Quite difficult to realise there is a co like this in klse...

Omg, any hope for AA...

The problem is the price offered by the main shareholder who is going to privatise the co.
If the offered price is low, then no Kan taw.. especially when main shareholder only hold around 30% of the shareholding that would require substantially amount of fund to privitise.


Normally the co wouldn't privatise the co if the co is a highly geared co. During bad time, listed co has a advantage to issue right issue, issue bond, etc, so privatisation only good for boss if the co is low gear or no loan.

The privitization of this highly geared co will mean the the boss has to standby some fresh fund himself in case the co financial goes into problem..

Ports are allowed to operation, good news.
On the other hand, it looka like Urusharta would like to clear all the shares probably due to shortage of fund

Share buyback
Good points are share price has some support and this buyback shares may issue as a bonus shares

Bad things is company cash level decrease and capital utilisation efficiency is bad because it is not use to generate more profit

It seems that this stock is very resilient recently

It looks like Icap BHD deploys in enormous amount of fund and start accumulating this stock. Few years later when all the projects materialize, then it is the time to harvest.

Have bought some and start accumulating. A classic example of low risk high return.

2nd largest shareholder, Lembaga Tabung Haji (i.e Urusharta) is disposing, while 3 rd largest shareholder Icapital Bhd is collecting.

Why disposing, guessing is shortage of fund as it has made deep shxt huge ....

I don't understand what is meant by oil price negative US 16.67.

It means you sell 1 barrel of oil and you need to subsidize US 16.67 to the buyer.
