马中旅游文化促进商会（MICA）会长拿督伍安琪今早与其他成员就“新冠肺炎”疫情召开紧急会议讨论应变措施后指出，疫情已导致旅游业蒙受重挫，从农历新年至今已取消了3000多个团；换言之，农历新年到3月的团全都取消了。”

她说，目前所有原定于2月和3月来马的中国团都已退团，尚不知中国境外旅游何时才能完全恢复稳定发团。

伍安琪说，由于现在中国团几乎归零，因此许多以大中华地区（中港台澳）旅客群为对象的业者向她表示，情况比2003年沙斯（SARS）时期更为严重。

“这次影响比沙斯时期严重，因为中国团是完全归零，自中国政府宣布不能（境外）旅游，那些（在禁令前已入境）中国游客回国后，再也没有（中国）团进来……别的国家的人也不敢来旅游。”

料需6至9个月缓慢复苏

该会也提醒同业准备面对接下来的旅游寒冬，伍安琪预计需费时6至9个月才能缓慢复苏。

她也透露，该会与其他业者昨晚才同旅游、艺术及文化部长拿督莫哈末丁可达比会面，以寻求政府的建议及援助。
