What is most interesting is if Pharmaniaga wants to buy Sinopharm assuming it get clearance to use, it will have to apply for MOH registration which most probably will be approved. And if Kanger also apply for it, will it get approved? Of course it will as technically everything is the same. Or shall Kanger be named as exclusive distributor in all approvals as it has the deal already with Sinopharm? This remained to be seen. But one thing for sure...it will be approved one way or another.

Kanger by appointing Zuellig Pharma to be their distributor means direct supply to private hospitals and clinics. Whether Pharma or Dpharma gets it through Kanger for KKM depends very much on Chinese Government as these are usually G to G deals.

I think among all vaccine counters, Kanger is most proactive in planning and implementing strategies to roll out the vaccine to Malaysian public.

Vaccine testing is very important especially at 3rd stage where mass testing is carried out. Chinese vaccines are tested in Indonesia, UAE, Brazil other than China itself. Other vaccine manufacturers Astrazenneca, Pfizer, Moderna, etc also doing the same. The results must be presented to their health authorities / WHO for scrutiny before it can be used internationally.
The results are expected be available by end of Dec or early Jan for scrutiny and eventually approval. That's the main reason why vaccine can only be available 1st quarter 2021 onwards.

All drugs must be registered through NPRA / MOH. But it is NOT necessary must be by Pharma or Dpharma. Any other companies also can register.
You guys can go to npra.gov.my to check it out. Click on Industry / product search, select pharmaceutical /manufacturer, type name of manufacturer.
Last time I typed Sinopharm, 9 products were registered. These are not vaccine but other products manufactured by Sinopharm.

As far as Bintai or HWGB, do some research to see what are their vaccines and what stage of development testing they are in.

To set up sub contract local filling and get facility accredited by manufacturer would take many years. No time for that. Ready to use vials is the way to go.

Of course, home country must approve it first as WHO members are the nations, in this case China and not private enterprises, although CBNG is a state owned enterprise.

By the way, if you guys go to npra.gov.my search engine, you can find 9 Sinopharm products already approved by MOH.

If I read correctly somewhere, Sinopharm together with Sinovac are pre approved by WHO as China joined Covac to supply vaccine.

There are reports that full results of 3rd stage trials would be available this or next month, thereafter presented to the authorities. So yes, it might be possible to push out before CNY in Feb 2021.

None of the 56,000 people who were inoculated with a COVID-19 vaccine and travelled abroad have contracted the coronavirus, Sinopharm's chairman said on Friday.

Sinopharm Chairman Liu Jingzhen, said at a conference on Friday that some 100,000 people have been vaccinated with the company's vaccine and have shown none adverse reactions so far. Among those who were inoculated and travelled aboard, none have been infected with the virus, said Liu.

Some of those other received the emergency-use vaccine are employees of China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation and Technology giant Huawei.

Liu said that there are 99 people in Huawei's Mexico office, and 81 were vaccinated. Ten unvaccinated employees contracted with the virus in an outbreak in this office.

The fact that no one who received the vaccine has been infected, serves as more anecdotal evidence that the vaccine is working, Tao Lina, a Shanghai-based vaccine expert told the Global Times.

The data signals Sinopharm vaccine maybe close to being released on the market, Tao predicted.

Liu said that since June, Sinopharm's phase three clinic trial in dozens of countries and regions, including the UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, Peru and Morocco have more than 50,000 participants.

The results have moved the UAE ,Bahrain and other countries to approve urgent use of the Sinopharm vaccine, according to Liu, who told the conferred that he is "still alive and kicking, with no adverse reaction," after he was vaccinated in March.

Liu said the examples and scientific data prove the effectiveness of the company's COVID-19 vaccine.

Liu said Sinopharm is to produce about 100 million doses of vaccine by the end of the year, and estimates it will make 1 billion doses next year, to guarantee supplies especially for use by Chinese people, said Liu.

@rockrziq, From KJ's twitter there's Halal issue. Indonesia reported that Chinese vaccine has halal certificate. In fact the Ruler of Dubai took Sinopharm lends some credibility on it.

From reports, adenovirus Cansino is a single shot virus but how long it can last is not known. Sinopharm uses 2 shots are recommended 28 day apart. it is like a booster shot. The big difference is Sinopharm is a inactivated vaccine which means the virus are dead in its process. whereas adenovirus are engineered modified flu virus.

That's why much studies need to be made but in the absence of it, it is best to go with the one which is most widely tested. Still MOH / WHO will make the final call.

But it is prudent multi sourcing is the way to go forward.

One thing about penny stock. There will be many daytime contra players. They will sell at every 1 sen gain. And the floating shares in the market is very huge. That's why it won't go up much, at least for now. It can only go up incrementally. But when prices go higher, these players will fade away slowly looking for those cheaper stock to play with.
