COVID-19 PREPARE FOR KLANG STATES AND THE BENEFITS OF COVID-19 CENTRAL CONTROL CENTER

In the early stage of the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) used only Sungai Buloh Hospital (HSGB) and Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) as a hospital for COVID-19. treatment while the National Lepust Control Center (PKKN COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center is Low-risk for patients in category 1 and 2 in Selangor, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (WPKL) and Putrajaya However, the increase of the number of COVID-19 patients in the area has resulted in the hospital noticing high rates of bed usage.

Thus, as a step of further preparation to accommodate the entry of patients following the surge of positive COVID-19 cases in Klang Valley states, KKM has taken the following steps:

1. Increases the total of existing COVID-19 treatment beds in HSGB (improved to 630 beds);

2. Increases the total number of existing COVID-19 treatment beds in HKL (improved to 831 beds);

3. Changed the status of Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital (HRC) to COVID-19 hybrid hospital with 230 beds of COVID-19;

4. Reopens eight (8) block of the KKM Training Institute (ILKKM) Sg Buloh as COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center. Low risk with a capacity of 2,400 beds; and

5. Continuing the use of the National Lust Control Center (PKKN) as COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center. Low risk with current capacity of 648 beds.

Therefore, until November 18, 2020, the total bed for Selangor, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Persekutan Region has been improved almost 14 times which is from 345 beds on October 1, 2020 to 4,739 Bed fruit.

Strategic planning to increase the number of beds involving six (6) facilities that are HKL, HSGB, HRC, PKKN, ILKKM and Army Hospital of Tuanku Mizan (HATTM) in two (2) states and cooperation with various agencies that are Agencies that are Agencies National Disaster Management (NADMA), Malaysian Army (ATM), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Malaysian Public Defense Forces (APM), Malaysian Volunteer Department (RELA) and Community Welfare Department (JKM) ). This cooperation requires coordination and good communication between all agencies. KKM says well done and thank you for all the help and close cooperation they have given.

To launch the administration of the management and operation of all hospitals and PKRC in Selangor, WPKL & Putrajaya, KKM with the help of MKN has established the COVID-19 MIDDLE CONTROL CENTER or CENTRAL REGION COVID-19 UNIFIED COMMAND CENTRE which will be led by the Director of Health Health State of Selangor, YBhg. Dato ' Indera Dr. Sha ' ari bin Ngadiman and assisted by Dr. Sarah binti Shaikh Abdul Karim, Emergency Medical Specialist from HSGB as her deputy.

Hopefully the solid cooperation of KKM and other agencies and the formation of CENTRAL REGION COVID-19 UNIFIED COMMAND CENTRE can launch the management of the COVID-19 outbreak in Selangor, WPKL & Putrajaya.

The main, immediate focus of the collaboration will be the supply of equipment such as personal protection equipment (PPE), RT-PCR (real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) test kits, rapid test kits, mobile test labs and other necessary equipment needed to combat Covid-19.

Under the agreement, Titijaya said TRSB and SMEQ will collaborate to develop the business by leveraging on the supply and value chain of Sinopharm Group and SMEQ in China, as well as the networks of TRSB and Sinopharm Group.

“For other businesses of Sinopharm Group not within the scope of business of SMEQ, SMEQ will assist TRSB to develop such scope of business by coordinating with Sinopharm Group to accommodate the demands of TRSB,” Titijaya said.

TRSB, meanwhile, will be responsible to provide infrastructure, land and facilities for medical industry operators recommended by Sinopharm Group or SMEQ.

Actually Cansino was one of the first off the block but the use of it was limited to Chinese military. They lost time in conducting 3rd trials. Later they when they wanted to do, they could not find countries willing to take part. The last I heard was Pakistan and they only started the trials only in Nov 2021.

Sinopharm through its subsidary China TCM has a company in Penang since 2014 but they deal in traditional Chinese herbs.

Actually Kanger started in 2004 by the Deputy Chairman who is still holding shareholding and he is running the operations.
