if bonus issue not approved what is the basis bursa rejected it....only reason I can think of is that they had a share split not too long ago, assuming now bonus issue, they would be adjusting their capital structure and the no of issued shared out of retained profits or reserves....meaning capitalized their retained earnings. First thing is if they have not submitted their actual formal audited accounts...usually June, then Bursa might say that they want the exercise done based on actuals. Secondly, they might also ask for future forecast to be certain that future recurring income is just as strong and they would continue to build higher reserves and retain earnings.
So have to wait for the announcement to know and that also if the bonus issue was indeed rejected

Ask you guys a simple question - is D'sonic worth 2.5b? when Pres Bhd is only valued at 880M?
EPS for Pres is abt 19sen Vs D'sonic of 12. DPS of Pres is 12 cnt Vs only 8.2cnt for D'sonic.
PE 30x now...20x more reasonable...so RM2.40 seems like a more realistic price for D'sonic.
Besides, a company like CBSA is only trading at FY15 PE 5.5x......more downside for D'sonic nx week.

7-11 already on way to IPO, so looking at Vincent Tan's old playbook, once he has done listing all on hand, he would seek out and privatise counters which are lagging but a cash cow / gold mine. He took so long to let go of his food biz which was Robin Tan's baby listing it. So question before it becomes a billion $ biz is if he would privatize and relist. This biz can only grow and generate more cash with growing population, income and malls.

@Abudance.....8 sen up is nothing if QA announced. I asked a few old time investors and remisers...you know for every one of us which are already invested in Sona and patiently collecting and waiting there are about 20 more out there on the platform ready to jump in at the slight hint of a QA and when the QA if firm another 20-30 more wanting to invest for the long term...Y?...because they either missed the boat or already cashed out of hibiscus at x4-5x initial investment. But obviously everyone got different risk appitite and funds to invest. Individual choice.

O&G SPAC in Malaysia this round, either already listed or in process is to grow the industry. Just like Offshore services and vessles biz. Look 10 yrs ago most have small fleets or 2 - 3 OSV. Today expanded fleets, some even investing in floating rigs and pipe laying barges. Petronas also driven to move to more riskier ventures abroad, meaning they need local O&G companies to pick up marginal and smaller fields. The whole industry depends on it. Only way for us Malaysians to be high income society....so am with you all with the hopes of some good bonus this year.

Angelina - new IPO yes. Higher funding than Sona also correct & true....but problem is that its still a small war chest for O&G. If they raise USD2-3B, then ok la, can buy some of the production fields...maybe Murphy's assets..etc. USD300M, same story as Sona la....either marginal field, or JV asset. Sometimes if you aim small, and slowly grow,might be better in long run. Try going too big, to develope the field have to make another cash call...what for....So trust in Sona. Gonna to deliver soon.... ;)

Don't see any news but positive side would be lower fuel cost in 2H, Higher loading especially for KL- China routes and getting closer to KLIA2 move in date which would boost AAX's imej.
