@kengfp sorry to jump in about hibiscus.. I have no idea either.. I can only wait till 5pm to know what is it about. (as a kicimeow minor shareholder i'm concerned too)

But I am watching it closely - as I am quite sure someday when Sumatec finally shine, it will attract similar roller coaster stock activity pattern (well, it already had, just last month only)

What I can learn from hibiscus, maybe, can also be used to identify the pattern of TA, rumours and psychologies of the investors/punters & traders (e.g. there were people yelling for TP of RM3, 5, 6, 10 just two weeks ago.. but now, there are people yelling for TP of RM1.8, RM1.5, RM1.2 etc)

@Chrollo apart from your personal TP, suggest to learn on TA also (i've only started 1 month, still find it as a very interesting tool to get some clue about psychology of investor/traders on a particular counter)

But again, TA is not really that applicable for Sumatec in my humble opinion, as it is still trading sideways after rights issue.. but yes.. i try to match my own TA reading against Kak Noraini's TA on sumatec daily.. still interesting so far :)

ya.. if i remember it correctly, looiks mentioned that old tawkey would only sell at double the issued price (i.e. only willing to sell at 0.28) and he also mentioned that last week of the year don't wanna get the hand dirty (maybe wanna concentrate on book-keeping, in order for new year firework display)

so.... i guess meanwhile only those small frys are trading..

I'm amazed at these people, who have time and energy to say negative things about something, rather recommended something positive about something else (e.g. Other stock to invest while sumatec trading sideways )

Some clarification needed also... The writer wrote the article on Thursday, but this article was only published on china press website yesterday.

The writer claimed that hibiscus hasn't got result from Oman oil exploration, which caused the price to drop nearly 60 sen in two days.

My opinion : what an irresponsible writing. He is not writing based on bursa announcement, nor did he claim the source of the news.

Sincerely, I hope someone could help to write to hibiscus management so that they can make clarification.

Now this rumour has surfaced (as a news) on mainstream media, you and I know what are the implication of the news.

Does anybody have the contact on who to talk to hibiscus management?

Seriously, one most effective and doable thing for hibiscus to do, is to have press conference to clarify this roller coaster price movement in two weeks.

All these rumors, conspiracy theories are not helping the investors confidence at all.

All I can observe .. Is each negative comment is snowballing into a collection of different story regarding this company.

Again, I sincerely hope hibiscus management and come out and clarify.

@fooksing: forgot to tell you one thing.. if you sell and buy sumatec as it is still in volatile state... another happiest person would be your stock broker: he/she will thank you for the commission.

@Kak Noraini.. combining looiks theory and yours.. i get it as "sleeps with the teenager"

@fooksing: then my opinion is...
Option A: Normal way of what investors do - cut loss if you made loss of 5% - 10%
Option B: Follow Kak Noraini (don't sell when the stock is oversold) or Looiks' suggestion (Sleep till new year come... which passengers will be awaken by the fireworks after bookkeeping is done).. or even look at what strategist said about long term plan in 6 months time

Apart from that, just also look at the overall big picture: yesterday's market sentiment is not that good... again.. your money, your call.

Nobody can accurately predict how will stock market move the next day :)

last but not least.. chill out.. it's weekend mate..

i.e. spot on investment with due diligence work by you guys :)

Looks to me they plan to hold for at least another 6 months.

And if you read looiks train analysis with rumors and bursa announcement... So far I am looking forward to new year .. And top up when the price is low (depends on my bullet availability also)

This is not an advise to buy or sell.. After all... If you buy for long term .. And believing in sumatec plan in exiting pn17... I would say high chance the return is high..

Fooksing: personally I don't think QE would affect this counter... foreign investor won't want to put investment on a pn17 company which had just dropped from high.

Hi Kak Noraini & imlegend.. I would like to learn more about chart reading (only started reading since few weeks ago, inspired by Kak Noraini & citytrader)

I would like to post my reading & understanding about hibiscus (since I think their free fall is similar to what happened to sumatec last month)

My own interpretation

Hibiscus has dropped to nearly 2 months low.
Immediate support is 1.77 with resistance of 2.4

Ichimoki cloud: Price is now in the cloud, very likely the price will move in the cloud range for a while
GMMA: Red Cut across green, suggests change of trend (towards bearish trend, apparently)
MACD: finally showed bearish signal yesterday (when the blue cut red from above)
RSI: Moving towards oversold region
Stochastic: showed change of trend since 16/12 when the blue cut red from above. Today it is in oversold region
Williams %R: In oversold region since yesterday
OBV: Downtrend since 18/12

Again, please correct me as I would like to learn this powerful knowledge.

@vroompower99 perhaps you should also ask why tshs, cmy are still holding shares in sumatec
