Citytrader, yes I agree, TA is a very interesting subject and most importantly, it helps in maximizing profits. Am still on a very steep learning curve but this thread has helped tremendously. Comments and analysis by all you people helps and at least I know I am on the right track in the interpretation of the charts. Really glad there are so many unselfish and friendly people on this thread.

I would say this is one of the most intellectual thread I have ever visited. People here knows what they are talking about backed by facts and figures and analysis.

Matrix, pls correct my reading of Engtex charts. The resistance price is 1.32 (on 18/7). The subsequent periods after the doji was formed on 9/9 did not result in a reversal of price downward and the MACD crossover on the same date suggest an upward trend. This was further confirmed when 2 other doji formed on 13/9 and 19/9 did not cause a downward reversal and the selling pressure was well absorbed by the increased volume and is indicative of an exhaustion of sellers. The counter is continuing on its bullish trend.

Don't know if it makes a lot of TA sense or if I have missed any bigger picture but I'll be happy if you would please correct my interpretation.

I understand that if there is no trend in a particular counter, we do not trade. I am just curious - how do you read a chart like Seacera (code 7073). It is not a very active counter but the pattern looks mumbo jumbo.

Volume is very high today (note: directors have been selling and buying the shares). inwest88, I notice too in some threads, people are quite sarcastic and intimidating without realizing that different people have different ways of trading and different ways of looking at things and we have to respect that.

I always believe that whichever technique you use, whether its FA or TA or whatever, if the person is confident and comfortable with the technique and makes money out of it, then its a good technique.

Its quite a common mistake to wait for price to go higher when selling and then end up not selling and then price comes down. I am also guilty of it during my early days of trading.

Just a tip, may or may not work for you, try looking at the volume when you want to sell. If the share is trending up with very high or abnormal volume and buyers are snapping up any sellers' price, sell without a 2nd thought. It may go higher the next day or after but it will come back down after that. Lock in profits first. Afterall, you can never sell at the highest and could never buy at the lowest.

choolooi, great to know you manage to sell Inari. I sold off Inari-Warrant which I went in for short term play. I am still holding on to Inari. My TP is 98sen depending on the momentum of the share and like Matrix said, the break out price of 92 sen. Anyway, enjoy your profits.

Matrix, you're right, technical is not 100%. At least now, I know roughly where the entry and exit price is. I have not mastered the charts yet but I can see you guys are very good with it. So, I am not in a position to comment like you guys. I do use the Bollinger band a lot in conjunction with MACD and Volume chart.

I would be happy to share info if I spotted some really good counters. I was into DKSH and Scientex previously but I have liquidated everything. I am now eying DKSH for 2nd round. Besides Inari and others, am currently into Engtex. It is in the 1.20 range now and I am looking at between 1.40 to 1.50 as my exit points.

I am impressed and attracted with your thread here as the people are friendly, knowledgeable and unselfish in sharing info. Keep going.

Lim AS is right. Your principles are most practical and it works. I used to trade on fundamentals and technical analysis but the least complicated way is the best. Don't buy on news and take analysts' comments with a pinch of salt only. If they are such good predictor, they won't be commenting but making tons of money.

Censof at the current price is still reasonable.

Market will be weak today. Long weekend, uncertainties on Syrian crisis remains and Fed Reserve meeting next week. If tit drops further, might be buying opportunities.
