agreed @brandee. Normally these kind of companies are very similar to counters such as OSKh, Kuchai etc. just waiting for the value to be unlocked by a catalyst. Mostly these counters are not as actively traded hence the suppress in stock price. Catalyst include:
1. Sale of Dayang's shares, and then dividend payment
2. Property portion of the Company starts to do extremely well, hence getting more coverage and noticed by market
3. Share buy back or privatisation

oh boy, Brent at $66.40. Finally I have break even in Hibiscus.
2019-12-24 10:49 | Report Abuse
haha I sold 10% of my Naim holdings at 1.10-1.11 yesterday. But looking at the consistent and aggressive buying, most likely will shoot even further.
@winbigbursa. that's why long term holders always win. When share price down, accumulate, when go back up, sell abit, don't sell all. End up we hedge our winnings abit, but good fundamental stocks will always find its way back up.
This case here is similar to my holdings in OSK Holdings. too many people bashing the counter, say Directors do nothing to the shares, but making a cool 10% in one month ;)
2019-12-24 09:31 | Report Abuse
Haha @Mabel shouldn’t it be an upgrade from level 1 to 2. Anyways, hope can reach 0.30 by end of 2019!
2019-12-23 18:12 | Report Abuse
Actually for OSK, sharebuy back is better than dividend.. the ratio of share price increase is higher than giving dividend with the same amount. This is due to lesser queues for every bid.

Lol @Yu_and_Mee, my statement above does not mean to bash I-Stone. I was bashing Dyson in fact. I have a substantial position in I-Stone, at average of 0.18. in fact will be paying a personal visit to their factory to have a better feel of things. PE is skyrocketing as the share price goes up, no visibility on Dyson’s performance. That is where the risk lies. All in all, I do have high hopes for this company being in IR4.0, but they have to really look forward beyond Dyson.
I have to continue sharing my opinion if it helps others to understand risk. We can’t be in this forum to just share good news and everything nice about the stocks we own.
2019-12-19 10:39 | Report Abuse
Hmm if Dyson contributes to >65% of I-Stone's sales, it's quite worrying. Looking at Dyson's biz model - they are selling premium product at premium prices, which is expected to last for decades. How many can actually afford these? are there no substitute or potential substitute that is equally as good as their products?
Take for example Apple. Apple sells premium products at premium prices. Well, premium can be subjective, but we are looking at the build quality and the software ecosystem here. Ppl are willing to pay as they are stuck in the ecosystem from the phones, watches, airpods, macbook etc and it all works seamlessly. So, these bunch of customers "renew" their purchases once every 3 years or so (maybe slightly longer for macbooks), and there's also software and subscription sales to it. This is where Apple has something called "Moat".
Now, Dyson doesn't seem to have any moat at all. a LED table lamp for 2.5k? I mean, if all their products work seemlessly through an app or something, then maybe people gets stuck to their ecosystem and want to upgrade whenever their "vacuum cleaners" have a better technology or something. but a vacuum is a vacuum, and there aren't much to innovate (at least for now).
However, that being said, Dyson can still grow globally, selling and marketing to the Greater China, America, and Europe. That's where their potential lies. But other than expanding horizontally to new customers, they really need to look how they can expand vertically too, and getting existing customers to be "hooked" on to their products.

@Khaz It's better than Fave. User no need to pre-buy the vouchers and make payment. Only use the voucher when you pass by the outlet. No obligation. And at least the promos are better than Fave. On merchant end, good thing is since payment is directly paid to merchant, Airasia doesnt take a commission out of it, unlike Fave who takes 1% commission from the poor merchants who already have to fork out discount.
So how does AirAsia earn from this? From subscriptions of course, and to utilise user's BigPoints. I don't think they can earn much from this though, but it does help on getting users' data, new users, branding, all at a very low cost (or none direct cost at all). Soon we might even see the Uber version of AirAsia. With all these data and huge user base, there's the new income stream of targeted ads (internally, and external ads) as well. Huge upside to this counter.

Well construction contracts and project accounting is easy to manipulate. but manipulation is mainly on % of completion and timing of recognising. So if you look back at few quarters, there's no one quarter which recognises a sudden loss due to xx reason, mostly should be ok, unless the project from build to finish takes decades, which is highly unlikely.
2019-12-05 10:38 | Report Abuse
But I don't think they got blacklisted by tnb. afterall, just received further contract. Although not a huge amount.

that's what I heard too.. financials is good, this counter got good prospect. but Management very china man, treat suppliers and employees badly. bad treatment resulting in bad services, delay in project etc etc. Until they sort out that part and manage their cash flow properly, I'm out.. wait till further consolidation only jump back in.

Share price drop doesn’t mean it’s not a good stock to buy. It also doesn’t mean that the QR is not good. Those who doesn’t hold the stock here then no point arguing.. if still hold, means deep down you are optimistic it will rise isn’t it?
2019-11-28 19:37 | Report Abuse
Although QR good, it will only get better in 2020 if property side improve more. Better infrastructure development will help. Dayang performance next year will be great too. However, Naim shares move too slow, most likely end of next year only RM2 lol
2019-11-28 14:24 | Report Abuse
NTA drop because of dividend payment.. u guys know that right? lol

@joeshare lol I use BigPay very often. Top up with visa, then swipe bigpay at merchant. Earn BP and CC points. Recently I’ve been to many overseas country, keep using BigPay, rate is even better than money exchanger, and when lack of cash, still can withdraw from ATM, no need make a call to my bank to allow foreign withdrawal. Only thing is BigPay needs to get their system glitch sorted out but other than that I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t use BigPay.

@winbigbursa good or bad result at end feb is the catalyst item #2 haha. But good or bad result without volume still won’t drive the price up.
