Thanks Mike. For crabs I normally go to Klang but the standard is not so good as before. My friend told me there is a good place in Ampang for crabs, Will find out from him where.

Mike, sorry. Just saw that someone has given you the place to eat fried crabs. Yes, that's the one I went (but only 2 times). Followed my friend and does not really know the actual location. Not so familiar with Seremban.

Mike, do not be disheartened and discouraged by the comments made by some people. This is a good thread which is benefiting a lot of people and taking it private will defeat the purpose of this thread which ultimately leads to it being abandoned.

No hurry, Icon8888. If we can wait a few years, why not a few more days or weeks. Thanks.

Hi tj, I am not an accountant but to make thing simple perhaps I can assist. It all depends on the period and other factors which you want to base on. Take for example your example
- outlay of 500 and made 100 in the first quarter. Thuu it can be deduced that you
1) have a return of 20% for the quarter
2) have a 80% return if extrapolated over 12 months

(a)For ease of monitoring and calculation maybe say you put 1,000 in a trust account with the broker for a period of one year
(b) say at the end of the year, you close your accounts and realize an actual gain of 700 (assuming you disposed everything) and earned a interest of 50 (for unused funds during the period)
(c) Thus you can say that you have made a return of 75% on the 1,000 as compared to 3% if you put the same amount in fixed deposits.
(d) if you have not sold everything than probably to be conservative just take the actual gains as paper gains may not materialized as the stocks have yet to be disposed.

Just a simple understanding for non-financial people.

Icon8888, I am looking forward to your article on Mulpha soon. It is the most laggard stock in Bursa the last few years or so. Look at Daya, Iris, TAE. TH Heavy, and Malton etc - their prices have more than doubled up but Mulpha is still hovering at just above 40 sen. The fact that they have a substantial shareholding in Mudajaya and also that they have a higher NTA in relation to the share price means nothing. I have a close friend who have accumulated almost a few hundred lots of Mulpha from 66 sen all the way to 37 sen and his average cost is about 43 sen. He is e patiently waiting ! I just do not know how to explain to him. In fact I am holding 80 lots myself for the last 3 years.

Hi Mike, how's your trading today? By the way, since there are so many people who are earnestly urging you to stay on, may I suggest you spend some time here to guide and help them. As your job is more of a accommodating nature (obliging your friends) I reckon you should be able to spend some time here. Ultimately you have to make the final decision. I am sure the people here will support and respect your final call. Have a good dinner !

If you ask me, yes, it's only fair that you have to focus on the job as you are being paid a salary, irrespective of the amount. Of course it would be a kind gesture if you take your spare time to impart your knowledge and share with others your trading ideas accumulated over the years. By the way, would you be attending the coming Old Boys Dinner ?

Mr. Koon, you are right. The plus point is that the MD of Mudajaya is not in the list of sellers as provided by johnny cash.

Mike, if you don't mind I tend to agree with Meena. Your volume is big thus if it rises by 1 or 2 sen, the amount is quite substantial but for the newbies and those who buy less, they can't "see" the money with a 1 or 2 sen gain. Thus they would wait a while which by that time the prices will retrace. Thus I appreciate your advising them to buy fundamental stocks. It is important that everyone trades with what he or she has. Keep up with the good job. Good night Mike.
