I don't think the US1b AAC sales is coming. It looks more like US200-300m sales for a small stake. That's why TF is thinking hard whether to sell or not and also why he quickly declared dividends to help out his loans. Anyone with US 1b in his pocket is better off buying a stake in AA itself which will easily make him the major shareholder. Why settle for a chicken when you can get a cow.

Many people here are very critical of AA and wants the price to come down but willing to buy once price drop a little bit. Strange. I guess many of us know that it is hard to find a counter to buy that is below RM4 that earns more than 4sen per share per quarter and get 12sen dividends. I too am waiting for jokers to sell to me. Tony has so far done a few of the things which he said he will do for AA, i.e. Sales of AACE, list AA Indo, form a holding company to hold all AA's and possibly list it in other exchange too, and what is left is IPO of Phillippine and the imminent sale of AAC.

Don't really know how to read and understand the financial statements with tax provision. What I can see is higher revenue, means AA is growing and also there is more cash in the bank and less debts which is what I want if it is my company.

People who wants to take risk in investing in AA would have done so by now. Now just have to wait for Q2 results to know whether AA can sustain its growth and profitability. Q2 results should be good or better, looking at passenger statistics, forex rate and fuel prices during that quarter. If Q2 is really good, then see u all at RM5 :).

At the rate AA is growing, it is going to be a big international company soon and the current price is too low to fit its status. it is ok that EPF is no longer a substantial holder. Whatever they sell somebody else is buying. Won't be surprised one day an announcement is made that a China's Fund is a substantial shareholder and by then the price would be more than 4 already.
