Dont you all know how market operate? For them to issue the date for bonus, they need approval at the EGM. Once they got approval from shareholder, need to lodge true certificate of approval to bursa. then they will make announcement.

IOI also done their due diligence before they cancel their intention to buy it based on "due to non-compliance of certain terms and conditions". I've been through this kind of process before where it can mean a lot of things.

Both Bplant and IOI already been into this business for so long. In 60s and 80s. IOI very aggressive and bplant a bit conservative.

Hoping that management will make a right decision on this deal.

Yippy68, I have same view with you. Should cancel the deal.

IOI Corporation, the bigger, more experience and hungry for lands, also said 'NO' to this land before. Why BPlant takes such risk. Furthermore, the amount is huge. Now, market reacts negatively towards this deal.

Everyone knows that Bplant has been looking for a land since its IPO. If any company private or listed co including broker who want to sell their land, will surely get in touch with bplant.

Same goes to fgv, SOP and Etc.

Why not buy plantation lands from FGV, Swk Plantation, etc? Any reasons must only choose Dutaland? FGV also got Sabah land if Sarawak not suitable.

Sure la dutaland will move due to speculation. Previous exercise done by bplant straight away announce done deal. But this one LOI first to conduct due diligence

And please la put aside politics. Bplant bought a land before from other seller in Sugut, Sabah twice in 2014 and 2016.

You see Bplant every quarter report. Its the sarawak land that always give problem. Just recently profitable. Court ruling already in favour with Bplant also still they have problem with the natives.

For Dutaland. BPB sell as CPO, but Dutaland sell FFB. That is why they cant make profit coupled with dutaland land area, i dont think it is viable to set up a mill.

Bplant on the other hand have JV with KLK for the seeds where they could get more OER.

Not here to fight. Just want to discuss whether this exercise is a good one or not. Check and balance. If it is not good. Would like to pull out from this investment and put my money elsewhere that will give sustainable dividend.

sarawak so many problem la. native there hard to control. they dont go by the rules.

Really? I thought dutaland loss comes from its property development and its investment divisions? Its their plantation that helped mitigate the losses. No?

Read properly people. Last year EPS 2.66 but declared more because they can cover it in the next quarter. This quarter EPS 2.73 and declared 2.5. I think ok la. and what kind of special dividend do you guys expect? from the malakoff disposal? That one not even materialised yet, so how can declare special dividend even if they want to. Again, read people, read and see the whole picture.

They tried more and more to become like a startup angel investor. Invest in more startup like fashionvalet, a small company with big impact in future. that is why i think recently so many acquisition of small company by myeg. u can say how can they make money from it. but today data from user worth a lot.

i dont think will pay dividend for this growth stock.
