Timing for the disposal of Shariah non-compliant
securities

As a guide to investors, the SAC would like to advise investors on the timing for
the disposal of securities which have been classified as Shariah non-compliant.
(i) ‘Shariah-compliant securities’ which are subsequently re-classified
as ‘Shariah non-compliant’

These refer to securities which were earlier classified as Shariah-
compliant but due to certain factors such as changes in the companies’
business operations and financial positions, are subsequently reclassified
as Shariah non-compliant.

In this regard, if on the date this updated list takes effect (29 November
2019), the respective market price of Shariah non-compliant securities
exceeds or is equal to the investment cost, investors who hold such
securities must dispose them off. Any dividends received up to the date
of the announcement and capital gains arising from the disposal of
Shariah non-compliant securities on the date of the announcement can
be kept by the investors. However, any dividends received and excess
capital gain from the disposal of Shariah non-compliant securities after
the date of the announcement should be channeled to baitulmal and/or
charitable bodies5.

On the other hand, investors are allowed to hold their investment in the
Shariah non-compliant securities if the market price of the said securities
is below the investment cost. It is also permissible for the investors to
keep the dividends received during the holding period until such time
when the total amount of dividends received and the market value of the
Shariah non-compliant securities held equal the investment cost. At this
stage, they are advised to dispose of their holding.

0.68 x 0.9 = 0.61
What the reason for 0.9 ? Why not 1.5 to reach the TP = 1 ?

0.68 is NTA 2nd QR. But my calculation is NTA 3rd QR x 0.9 = TP.

So, we have to wait NTA 3rd QR before set our TP.

Assume NTA 3rd QR is also 0.68 so...
0.68 x 0.9 = 0.61 (TP is RM0.61). But, if RM0.61 already hit before 3rd QR, then expect price will not going up a lot once 3rd QR release. If I am not mistaken, some called this situation as the stock price already Priced-In.


Why 0.9? This is hard to answer because I think no one can give exact TP.

I use 0.9 with many reasons including what QR is released (4th QR can give more than 0.9), what sector, margin of safety, etc.

Yes, x0.9 is not the limit. And 0.9 also not a guarantee to hit. I share with x0.9 because this number is more reasonable for KNM to hit. If you want to expect more than x0.9, then wait 4th QR.

But remember what we called Priced-In. Thats also may be the reason why Serbadk was going down after its QR released.

My simple short term TP before 4th QR is:

NTA 3rd QR x 0.9 = TP.

Mabel, Noted . Just to share Serba was in the same position as Dayang . They reported a good QR , unfortunately after the Good QR was released , people took profits and the price actually went down... Not so much but it went down... until today it has not recover from the pre QR price . .
This makes starts thinking , what makes you think that this is not the case for my Dutchman KNM ?

If I have not mistaken, I read somewhere said traders tend to follow the trend during QR release. Even if the QR is bad but if the trend is bullish, price still going up. May be this theory is correct. But I like to research more on this and I think it is not so simple like that.

To conclude, KNM will not become Dayang (Nov 2018) once QR releases. At least, I believe KNM will going up a lot first.

I just want to sell mine (not in long term mood right now).

But thanks to my latest analysis, now I just want to hold because I believe there is high chance the price will going up a lot after the incoming quarter report. Not like Dayang on 23rd Nov 2018. I can't guarantee 100% will be good. But thats what I see based on my analysis.

What I mean good is the stock price will going up too.

I have seen happened Quarter report was good but then the price going down. See Dayang August 2018 and November 2018.

So, there is no guarantee that good Quarter report = price goes up.

I believe combination with technical analysis can give high chance to know in advance when good Quarter report will follow with bullish price. Thats what I shared about KNM.

Potential new 52-week high may happen this week or next week.

Analysis.

Since 2003 until 2017, 6/8 (of odd years 2003, 2005, 2007....) of every October were Bullish month. Big possibility next month also Bullish month. I consider this month is last buy before bullish next month (October of odd year).

There is a time I use TA to get a hint for until when to hold mine. I wanted to sell earlier but I get a hint from TA to hold and watch until 18th September 2019. I dont know what will happen in the future date. But I try to believe what TA told me.

Previously, I posted on 6th September 2019 said that big bullish may come before 18th September 2019.

Unfortunately, not happened. But shockingly (before 18th September 2019), big world news occur on 14th September 2019 and another KNM news on 17th September 2019, both news probably move KNM price.

Yes, all above I use TA alone.

Yes, FA & TA are important. Both cant guarantee profit. But both can give some clues.

No war. Just a healthy debates.

Lets get profit together.

"Saudi Aramco is not an ordinary company. It is a company which runs the country," he said from Doha.

"We don't know how much of the facility has been damaged but this will bring down Saudi oil production to a fraction of what it is now. This will also have an impact on global oil production."

TrueTrader, nothing really special. I just want to sell because I just realized I bought this stock by mistake. I realized this mistake after doing my latest research, thus I lost my way to put my TP and not know when to sell. I dont want to hold any longer without knowing a true guide.
