Truly appreciate if Bursa can stop / suspend the RSS as this is a tool used to manipulate the share price. In my opinion its departs from the very principles of investing. The share price is no longer based on company performance and fundamentals but manipulation.

Also truly appreciate if Bursa can stop / suspend IBs who has warrants on a particular company and yet write research analysis of the said company. Most definitely these IBs will use their analysis to manipulate the share price to benefit their warrants. Isn’t this conflict of interest?

Truly appreciate if the 4 big glove companies and the other glove manufactures could announce officially their revenue reports for just the month of January 2021 which is since the release of vaccines and adaptation of new norms. Let us all know once and for all whether vaccines and new norms generate demands for glove. In most countries now from the picture on the web, gloves are being used for every vaccination, manufacturing, distribution chain, etc, etc. Is this the catalyst for demand on gloves?. Since vaccination will continue for years to come, will this mean continuous glove demand? With the emergence of virus variants, will this increase the glove demand?

The Chief Executive Officer of Johnson & Johnson said Tuesday that people may need an annual Covid-19 shot for many years to come in order to be protected against variants of the virus.

“Unfortunately, as (the virus) spreads it can also mutate,” Alex Gorsky told CNBC’s Meg Tirrell Tuesday during the network’s Healthy Returns Spotlight event. “Every time it mutates, it’s almost like another click of the dial so to speak where we can see another variant, another mutation that can have an impact on its ability to fend of antibodies or to have a different kind of response not only to a therapeutic but also to a vaccine.”

Here you go. Again another fact of the vaccine.
https://www.dw.com/en/coronavirus-digest-german-nursing-home-sees-outbreak-after-vaccines/a-56491823

Fourteen residents at a German nursing home have tested positive despite receiving two vaccine doses.

Local officials in the district of Osnabruck, Germany, said there was an outbreak of the UK variant of coronavirus at a nursing home in Belm.
The outbreak came despite all of its residents already receiving two doses of the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine, with their last shot on January 25. A local government spokesperson said 14 residents tested positive for the virus at the end of last week
So it seemed that the Pfizer vaccine even after 2 doses is not effective against the UK Virus Variant.

Is the Vaccination program failing?

Why did Pfizer pull out from India, the World’s 2nd largest population when India requested for trial. ?

Leading vaccine scientists are calling for a rethink of the goals of vaccination programmes, saying that herd immunity through vaccination is unlikely to be possible because of the emergence of variants like that in South Africa.

The comments came as the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca acknowledged that their vaccine will not protect people against mild to moderate Covid illness caused by the South African variant. The Oxford vaccine is the mainstay of the UK’s immunisation programme and vitally important around the world because of its low cost and ease of use.

The findings came from a study involving more than 2,000 people in South Africa. They followed results from two vaccines, from Novavax and Janssen, which were trialled there in recent months and were found to have much reduced protection against the variant – at about 60%. Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna have also said the variant affects the efficacy of their vaccines, although on the basis of lab studies only.

A New York resident died on Sunday morning shortly after receiving the COVID vaccine, but state health officials maintain that "the vaccine is safe," the New York Post reported.

The elderly man, who was in his 70s, collapsed about 25 minutes after being administered the COVID vaccine as he left the Jacob Javits Convention Center vaccination site in Manhattan, Dr. Howard Zucker, the New York state health commissioner, said in a statement obtained by the Post.

The statement from Zucker also suggested "the man did not have any allergic reaction to the vaccine," as no adverse effects or signs of distress were observed during the 15-minute observation period following his inoculation.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention maintains that severe adverse reactions to the COVID vaccine occur "rarely," saying the chance of this happening is 10 cases in over 4 million

(CNN)South Africa has paused its rollout of the Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine after a study showed that it offered "minimal protection" against mild or moderate illness caused by the more contagious virus variant first identified there, known as B.1.351.

The findings, which come a week after the first million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine arrived in South Africa, are a damaging setback for the country's efforts to curtail the pandemic. More than 46,000 people are known to have died from Covid-19 there, and overall cases, which have topped 1.4 million, are now largely being driven by the new variant.
It's also a big blow for the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, which has been hailed for its low cost and easy storage as one of the world's best hopes for defeating the virus. And the study is yet another worrying sign of the risks that new mutations pose to vaccine development and deployment, with herd immunity appearing increasingly less achievable.
The B.1.351 variant has been identified in at least 41 countries, including the United States, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Other variants first spotted in the United Kingdom and Brazil have been detected in dozens more. And they're spreading rapidly.
It was not clear from the study, which has not yet been peer reviewed, whether the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine protected against severe disease from the B.1.351 variant. The 2,000 clinical trial participants were mostly young healthy adults, unlikely to become severely ill. But based on immune responses detected in their blood samples, scientists said there was "still some hope" that the vaccine could protect against more severe cases.
An AstraZeneca spokesperson said in a statement that the company was working with Oxford University to adapt the vaccine against the B.1.351 variant so "it is ready for autumn delivery should it be needed." Several other manufacturers have said they are trying to address the issue of variants by developing booster shots.
WHO's independent vaccine panel will meet Monday to discuss the AstraZeneca vaccine and what the new study means for vaccines going forward.
