If you familiar with the financial market, currently global countries (more than 100 developed and developing countries) activated a program called AEOI (Automatic Exchange of Information). Which mean all the assets, insurance, bank balances, will through Artificial Intelligence, to share instantly to Tax Authority of each countries joined.

Meaning if you have assets in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysian IRB will have the relevant information from these countries authorities. Then they will question where is fund source, thats the background why this Budget our new government can confidently mentioned the voluntary disclosure for previous undeclared income. They have the information.
