The contract value is for RM21m, over 5 years, so how much per year and how much more can they earn when it is already contracted? Distribution hub in klia or at aeropolis? Can't wait for the drop..

I like this sentence: "How about Target Price ? Due to lack of understanding for the group's operation, I don't really know how to set the Target Price. "
Meaning it could be worth RM0.05 or RM5.00. You don't know. But you are sure it will go up. Comforting sentence.
But anyway, because you are Icon8888, the share price will be driven up regardless. That's the power of i3investor.

Pump and dump can be seen from stocks with hardly any fundamentals without any growth story but price rising sharply. Volume will be high to create the illusion that big funds are accumulating. Then when they have enough...Kaput..

Read properly Photon. Warning issued by YiStock. This guy really deserves my utmost respect and credit for spotting the warning signs early.
I don't think Icon8888 should be antagonised in this incident. He still has a solid track record eventhough he missed out on the underlying reasons Comcorp recorded good earnings.

Thank you. Your idiotic posting only helped to push up SHH's share price more and push down Liihen's. Thanks for proving me right again. :)

Dear moneySIFU, the size of company measured by market capitalisation is only an indicative value given by market participants who are short sighted in nature and tend to act in herds.
What is more important is the intrinsic value of a company, something which most people are unable to do and the reason why most people underperform in the stock market.

Dear Ricky I am showing people the break-up value of the stock which serves as a floor price for a company.
In the event that the worst happens, shareholders still have the tangible assets to fall back on, which is why the true and fair value of the assets are important.
On the other hand, if a company is trading far below the value of its assets, it would likely become a target to sophisticated investors who aim to make a profit by breaking up the company and selling its assets.
If a bank were to loan me the money, I would consider buying over the company at its current price, selling the land and pocketing the net cash to make a quick buck.
Of course this would be a secondary option seeing that the company is making RM10m a year, which would cover my cost of investment within 6 years: Buy the company for RM90m - net cash of RM30m = RM60m. RM60m divided by RM10m profit per year. You don't need to be a genius to know this, that is why my title is 'No brainer investments'!

No need to get so defensive, I am not asking others to sell Liihen and buy SHH (well, it doesn't seem like such a bad idea). Only shows how insecure you are.
Liihen is trading at 2.4x its book value and the stock has already gone up 22% this year. High time for some very 'smart' people to cash out.
Yes, you 3 fellas continue holding on and promoting, when Liihen's share price drop do not forget to buy more. You will be very prosperous soon.

As i stated in my blogpost, avoid crowded trades where all the positives are already known to the market and priced into the current share price. FFHB is a good example of a crowded trade. Besides, PE ratio is also higher than its peers.

Hello HYG, I think Masteel should be priced at around RM0.88 which was its low before the accounting mess and slump in steel bar prices. Reasons for this was the MRT1 and LRT2 packages which are soon to be repeated in the form of MRT2 and LRT3.

As we speak, steel rebar prices just rose back to July 2015 high.

Hi JT, it is true that book value was eroded slightly despite capex spent during over the last 10 year period. But bear in mind that we had a financial collapse from 2007-2011 where discretionary stocks were affected.
We are in an economic upcycle where the US is growing relative to the rest of the world. In addition, all economic data from consumer sentiment to retail sales to housing starts are pointing upward. Furthermore, low pump prices have yet to trickle into increased consumer spending meaning that cash is still being hoarded.
Nevertheless, book value was hardly eroded during bad times and has grown quickly since then. Also remember that SHH did not revalue any of its properties since 1994. If they were to revalue, assuming property prices rose at CAGR of 5% per annum, their book value would be triple what it is now.

CKWan, do not worry about the share price in the short term. Look at earnings, cash flow and industry/company prospects. Data, facts and figures do not lie. Shareholders will be rewarded accordingly as management is willing to declare dividends.

My aim is to share with the investing public undervalued companies with high growth prospects which is exactly what I am doing. The market is not always right that is why people can generate extraordinary returns when the gap between price and value exist.
I don't really care about the short term share price movements, as you mentioned, that post is only a few weeks ago. Is Warren Buffett judged by his monthly results, or over his 50 year investment career? If you studied Buffett, you would know that growth in the company's net assets is better than growth in share price. To that argument, SHH's book value increased by 16% over the past year. That is even after a special dividend of 10 cents.
2016-03-18 09:10 | Report Abuse
Please refer to my previous post where I did a comparison. SHH is by far the cheapest and most under the radar. Importantly, no large shareholders waiting to cash out.

(iii) Derivative financial instruments
Derivatives are initially recognised at fair value on the date a derivative contract is entered into and are subsequently remeasured at their fair value. Changes in fair value of financial instruments are recognised in the profit or loss.

Hi Rob, yes there are changes in the fair value of derivative contracts that is reflected in P&L. However, these are non-cash items until which time the contracts are due and settlement is made. Thus, it is removed in my calculations.
To gauge the impact of this on P&L in the quarter ending Dec, all we need to do is look at the closing USD/MYR rate for that quarter in which the fair value of contract is determined and compare it with the previous quarter. On 30/9/15, the USD/MYR was 4.40 while on 31/12/15 it was 4.30, a difference of -2.3%.
Hence, it is safe to say that we might see some profits from the change in fair value of derivative contracts for the quarter ended Dec 15.
2016-01-05 14:33 | Report Abuse
pingdan: Disregarding gain on disposal of RM2m, the quarter's profit of RM1.762m is still the highest that year.
hpcp: For Pohuat, loss on write off of property and inventory net off gain from insurance is RM5.18m. However, do note also in the cash flow of "other non-cash item gain" of RM5.9m and note in the balance sheet a new item "investment property" amounting RM7m. There could be some reclassification of asset into "investment asset" with revaluation done and intention to dispose in the future.
