UNUSUAL MARKET ACTIVITY
PASDEC HOLDINGS BERHAD ("PASDEC" OR "Company") - UNUSUAL MARKET ACTIVITY
We refer to the letter dated 11 June 2014 from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad
querying on the rise in price and volume of PASDEC's shares recently.
In accordance with Paragraph 9.11 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of
Bursa Maalaysia Securities Berhad (¿Bursa Securities LR¿), the Board of
Directors of the Company, after having made due enquiries with the Directors,
major shareholders and such other relevant persons, wishes to advise that to
the best of the Board's knowledge and believe:-
1. The Company is not aware of any corporate development relating to PASDEC
Group¿s business and affairs that has not been previously announced that may
account for the trading activity including those in the stage of
negotiation/discussion;
2. The Company is not aware of any rumour or report concerning the business and
affairs of PASDEC Group that may account for the trading activity; and
3. The Company is not aware of any other possible explanation to account for the
trading activity, save for the proposed first and final single tier tax-exempt
dividend of 4 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ended 31 December
2013 which was announced on 23 May 2014 and is subject to shareholders¿
approval at the forthcoming Eighteenth Annual General Meeting of the Company.
The Board of Directors also confirms that the Company is in compliance with the
Bursa Securities LR, in particular Paragraph 9.03 of the Bursa Securities LR on
immediate disclosure obligations.
