I think can temporary not chase this aa as the news is being digested. For medium n long term due to its up n coming profit div pay out, this is still a good stock to hold. I will buy on dip. The aac sales n one time div pay out is still a long way off. BWC will come out in just in 5 mins.

Sorry guys I have been monitoring this forum to see if I can jump into this wagon. Sold most of my air asia shares yesterday now loaded with bullets.

I once said hedging of oil is costly and not necessary maximized benefits if oil suddenly turn negative and came down from usd 70 to 60 usd now. So I think long period of this hedging at 70 may affect profits in the coming quarters. But this oil price at this level of hedging will not be huge impact. This opinion of mine is for all readers to digest and not expect too much from aa profits to soar.

It is a double sided sword I think the aa management hedge oil at USD 70 ( Infact most airlines did) and with oil at USD 63 now it is definitely will continue to affect profit in the next few quarters. I know I said this many readers will not like it but I have voice my opinion for all to digest. Lets look at other airlines performance to confirm this. But the impact of oil at this level is not huge.

aax will continue not doing as good as air asia. Intercompany loans to them is not a problem to aa as it earn interest for aa as well. Salary will continue to rise is also small matter, where got company not raise salary, 3 to 5 % is minimum lah. In indonesia the minimum wages rises ( fixed by the local governments) at least 8 % per year. for workers and for high end staff maybe 5% to 8%

After a storm is over there will be calm. so after a bad news out ( no aac sale, no div) only good news will come. Maybe a div will be announce shortly? That is my prediction.

That is why in America as suddenly people panic as u all know for 8 years stock market there only can rise cannot drop because of easy money. Imagine if u are 20 years old during the downturn of the stock market in usa 8 years ago you will be 28 years old now. So u see most of those working in the hedge funds or commentators who gave positive upbeat of stocks suddenly caught in a very uncomfortable situation during the 1500 points plunge of the dow jones recently. But many older people in USA already predicted. But why stocks still continue to climb because interest rate is still low and inflation is still very low. What is 2% inflation compare to those olden days. What is 4% interest charge for fixed deposit. For youngsters who want to put it in fixed deposits? They play risky warrants, futures gas or gold etc.Now everybody is guessing Fed will increase rates 3 times, 4 times or 5 times? One must as well as go buy Toto or Magnum. So pick a numbers and best guess will Fed raise interest rate on March 20 to 21 Fed meeting? So if u are a futures player in commodities rising USD will be bad for oil, gas n gold etc. What if interest rate do rise in March 20 to 21, stocks continue to rise, commodities continue to rise also even higher interest rate is bad for gold.
Many of us never get caught in a financial crisis or the 911 twin tower crash ( which will upset any upside momentum) and never in our wildest dream we have met a president like Donald Trump. So the big picture is not be greedy. Someone win someone will lose. That is how money flow. BWC. No one can influence any one to buy a stock, stop necking and do not speculate too much on General election play. FGV is very speculative do not put all in this.
