vinvin, nothing much u can do about those cimb shares that u bough much earlier above RM5. Just hold it, hope that dividends are still given, though should be lesser due to bad after effects of covid 19, and as a matter of time, price will come back to where u bought it or even higher. Can buy to average down if u still have lots of bullets but think may not be easy to go down below RM3. Anyway, it is a stock too big to go bust, government will also will not let it be. Cheer. I have said many times, never believe KYY who buy low with a big lots of share in hand first, then starts to tell good stories about it, then he shall still buy it but only a little bits by bits even when the prices goes up steadily (when with a lot of silly people jump in to buy) to instil confidence to others, when price has reached a very high level, he starts unloads them slowly but not too fast, but keep on writing good about it so people continue to buy, when almost unload all his shares, 'conscience' strikes him to tell others he has sold his shares. Please learn it. But this time he is really kena properly in Jaks... He donated to charity to make him feel better because of what he has caused financial losses of many foolish followers of him. KYY his both legs are in mud, almost to his neck now not easy to pull himself, if dump his shareholding, tough, will collapse the price and where do find so many buyers? Ang need not quickly buy them as his holding of share amount is in very safe control. When price drops a lot, he may buy them to average his share cost and then try to push it up again to make huge profit by trimming down his shareholding to safe comfortable level say 30%. Ang can sit back, relax and watch old man kyy panic and shout till he runs out ofsteam or ways, as Ang is still in firm. This time kyy is really got stuck hard n badli.

KYY is about 85s years old, doubtful he has the stamina and energy to want to get into details of company mgt, besides, his previous experiences in construction could be outdated. He is just a share trader though he claims to be investor. Golden rule:he wants his money or profits from market more than you whom he wants you all to follow up his tips to buy the shares which he has bought them earlier at lower price. Do not believe he wants to help u to make money, just look after yourself first. Many believe he is really stuck in this counter though he did well in others.

Do not care toomuch what some people said. Hold firm to MBSB and be patient. Banking licence is a rare asset, no more issue out new ones by BNM which in fact encourages consolidation of local banks (though a few efforts of such failed to materialize recently for their own specific reasons). To compete regionally, banks should be of certain sizeable capital base, hence, u could see only gradual reduction not increase of banks in Malaysia, Singapore, etc, since 1980s. To get a definitive agreement drafted a d signed between AFB and MBSB and balance 15% conventional loans converted into syariah compliant loans, it requires time as it involves drafting and signing a new or supementary agreement between the individual borrower and MBSB. Taking another few months more to conclude is surely understandable and expected. Meanwhile, hold tight. Below RM2 is not notionally a fantastically high price, a calculated risk with high chance of succcess in MBSB future.

My advice to those who have mbsb shares: just hold them whether it is price or down after Monday next week. It is a banking stock and banking licence is rare and precious and limited in number. Even Mbsb has EPF as 67% shareholder is not given a banking licence by BNM though it is a GLC. Mbsb has to get it via buying over AFB and after two failed attempt and after impairment of their profit in billion RM in last few years. Do not just sell them if the price is up a little. Wait and u will be rewarded with your further patient wait.
