I dont see any CWs worth buying for the moment as prices are getting too high.

So I am selling all my CWs and not buying for now.

We have different style of playing CWs.

I buy in big volume in few counters and keep for some time to see how it goes.

Bought few glove CWs a year ago, sold 6 months later, bought TM and MBB CWs in Nov.

Bought some DRB 1J @ 1 - 1.5 sen last month. Might lose all there.

What @investlogic wrote must be what the sentiments of the shareholders right now.

The wrongdoers are not punished, instead the shareholders woke up to a huge loss through no fault of their own.

How could the management agree to the large sum of settlement without the knowledge of shareholders? In the meantime, the directors sold ALL their shares quietly.

For anyone who thinks the CEO/directors have done no wrong sending notifications 2 months overdue need to have their heads examined.

They are required to notify within 7 days, not many moons later.

They should be fined at least 10 times what they gained illegally from their disposal and spend some time in orange jumpsuit if proven insider trading is involved.

@sandcoffee, Govt seems to be providing lip service in countering cig smuggling. They are making political correct statements to make the industry players happy but dragging their feet in stamping out illicit cigs.

It is common knowledge that the biggest consumer of cig are the B40 group and duty paid cigs are beyond the reach of the B40s.

If the B40s lose their ciggies, am sure some parties will lose lots of votes.

Revenue will continue to decline until economy recovers, probably 4Q21.

@ apprentice - If average price RM11.50, CW worth 15 cent. Is that 15 cent a profit? Say, 1 Lot = 100 units x RM0.15 = Rm15. Please enlighten me and thanks.

Its not profit but the intrinsic value of C2 when it expires if average price of BAT is 11.50 over the 5 days prior to expiry.

As for TP 15, it is possible by year end.

C3 expires in Aug, ex price 11, the next CW is 14 ex price expire mid Nov. With ratio of 18 : C4 is worth only 5.1 sen if BAT at 15

So there may be a run up from Sep.

My advice is buy BAT is after C2 expires.

The price may go down to low 11 or even 10 plus by end Mac.

CIMB has been aggressively selling down many counters where their CW expires end of Mac.

William, IBs are in full control of the mother share price.

Look at how the gloves plunge during month of Feb. Thats the doing of IB selling down to reduce the worth of the CWs.

If average price is 11.50, the the CW is worth 15 sen.

Calculation is 11.50 - 10.00 (ex price) = 1.50

1.50/10 (ratio) = 15 sen

With 4 billions cash in company not a big deal, many listed companies have cash even much more than that like Genting holding 28 billions to 30 billions cash in company.

Some management bizness decisions are questionable. Closing the theme park and building new multi billion $ park without firm commitment from Disney was suicidal.

Dipping into cash reserves to pay dividend may be nice but worrisome to investors.

A company's strength is its management.

So far the man at the top is no where near what his uncle was.

BTW I hold GenT and GenM shares for 30yrs now and wish only the best for all investors. Hope the boss will too, not just himself.
