This is a very good counter as high chance it will be rewarded NIIS. We can see the big sharks keep pushing down to flush out retailers. The best thing to keep it uptrend will be closing above 1.68. Dear all the sifus here, let me share some humble thoughts here if I may:
a. Since this is political-linked stock, from political gain wise, previous government has indirectly come to power. Few of the tendering criterias, required tenderer to be financially strong, technically viable and highly cost effective. This, Datasonic has the upper hand.
b. With the covid19 pandemic, it seems like government has forked out a lot to help boost the economy and left a big debt in the record. This is similar to changing of BN government to PH which they began to review back of contracts being signed. However, the best policy in saving is to re-optimise and upgrade excisting hardware/software. Bear in mind, Datasonic has the technology for existing system and they can directly been protected by oversea e-gate and other manufacturers. Prior to end of contract, any drafting and changes of tender specifications will also take into consideration of existing system capabilities.
c. There are a few transactions of share acqusition by director via DBT. Looking back into history of Datasonic, normally this happened before news come out or quarter report announced.
d. Of course we shouldn't forget other contenders, however in IT field it is very niche and very specialised in supplying, installing, commissioning as well as maintaining the systems. looking at other players, it is believe they required to JV in order to supply the same scope of work which jack-up their cost and also complication the single point of responsibility.
e. I personally believe the YOY report will be announced on 27/5 in view of previous QR released which the profit will be doubled compare to previous year.
