@dragon328, ya, the margin is indeed amazing!
@cwc1981, ya, the lack of a catalyst could be the reason behind the share price drop from RM5.85 to the current level following the Budget 2025 announcement

ChatGPT :
The statements and actions by Fahmi Fadzil appears inconsistent, potentially leading to confusion about the state of affairs at Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB). Here are the key observations:
1. Initial Unawareness vs. Later Praise:
• Fahmi stated that when he first assumed his portfolio in 2022, neither his ministry nor MCMC had knowledge of DNB’s activities, describing the situation as “horrifying and concerning.”
• However, by May 2023, after a five-month review, he praised DNB for its progress in rolling out the 5G network, calling it a “positive achievement.” This shift raises questions about the thoroughness and clarity of his earlier concerns.
2. Position on Wrongdoings:
• Fahmi clarified that the government’s review of the Single Wholesale Network (SWN) model was not intended to investigate potential wrongdoings but to assess the model itself. This focus could explain why he avoided deeper scrutiny of DNB’s governance or financial practices at that time.
• Yet, his earlier remarks implied a lack of oversight and potential irregularities, which could create public doubt about the transparency of the review process.
3. Shift in Governance:
• After the Cabinet reshuffle in December 2023, DNB came under Gobind Singh Deo’s Digital Ministry. Gobind’s assurances that DNB’s operations and financial practices were in order, supported by telco-led due diligence and confirmation from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), seem to contradict Fahmi’s earlier claims of chaos and lack of visibility.
4. Impact of Mixed Messaging:
• Fahmi’s contrasting statements and the lack of clear accountability during his tenure likely sowed confusion about DNB’s management and transparency.
• While Gobind appears to have resolved or clarified these issues, the inconsistencies in Fahmi’s communication undermine public confidence.
5. Broader Implications:
• The government’s decision to implement a second 5G network suggests lingering concerns about the SWN model. While it addresses industry fears of monopolization, this shift might also imply that the initial model (praised by Fahmi) was insufficient or problematic.
Conclusion
Fahmi’s handling of DNB during his tenure appears to reflect a mix of poor communication, inadequate oversight, and shifting narratives. These factors may contribute to perceptions of incompetence or lack of clarity. Gobind’s current efforts to address these issues could restore trust, but it underscores the need for stronger governance and consistent messaging from public officials in critical national projects.

Just speculation: The subsidy for RON95 is expected to be canceled this year, which suggests the 1Bestari issue is unlikely to be resolved soon, possibly as a political diversion.

Dear Mikecyc,
I have some feedback on your postings:
Please consider simplifying and structuring your queries about YTLP to make them clearer. Repetitive and unstructured posts can make it challenging to understand your main concerns.
Additionally, when seeking opinions from others, please approach them with humility and courtesy.
Dear Everyone,
A small request: Please avoid using offensive or derogatory language and refrain from sharing fake stories with inappropriate content aimed at attacking others.
Feeling frustrated and seeking reasons for things going wrong is natural. However, blaming others in this forum for their recommendations is not constructive. The market is unpredictable, and even experienced investors face setbacks. It might be helpful to step back and give yourself time to process. Holding onto blame can impede progress. It’s okay to express your feelings, but try to move forward after doing so.
As retail investors, let’s work together to foster a positive culture and build a supportive community with relevant and useful information to help us succeed.

What is wrong with being Chinese-educated, especially if you are Chinese? Thankfully, the uneducated person who constantly used offensive language due to differing opinions has been removed.

Hi Ular,
Regarding the 'ESOS 2021' with an exercise price of RM0.56 per unit and market price stood at RM0.60 per unit at the time of offer. (https://disclosure.bursamalaysia.com/FileAccess/apbursaweb/download?id=123034&name=EA_GA_ATTACHMENTS)
I have glance through FY2023 Annual Report, specifically Note 24(a), it's noted that the total balance of units granted under the 'ESOS 2021' amounts to 225 million units. From the information I gathered, 20% of these units, totaling 45 million, are eligible for exercise since January 2024. The remaining 80% are subject to a moratorium and will be released evenly over the next four years.
I'm curious to know if this aligns with the information provided by your Sifu. Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Alot of YTLP promoters must be wondering why so many ctrs moving and YTLP still not moving right. The answer is very simple lah. Pasal ada bad news lah. If ada good news sudah pecah bumbung lah. Logic or not. Ponder about it lah. Find out what is the bad news lah. All waiting other to spoon feed kah. Sudah kasi hint the number related to 700 lah. The hint pun started to appear liao leh. Still belum notice it lagi kah. Haiyoh. Correct?

Hi, currently most of the income of YTLPOWER is derived from overseas. Any tax expert can advise if the income tax on foreign source income is subject for YTLPOWER’s income that derive from overseas ? If so, if this tax provision already made in the book ?

EPF keeps selling could this because majority assets of YTLPower are not in Malaysia, and taxes are not paid in Malaysia rather than pessimistic about the prospect, valuation or profitability of YTLPower ?
