Yesterday sellers dominated the trading with 56.4M sold down at 4.5c out of total 59.8M traded. Sell rate 94.3%. Volume is 3.5x average traded volume.

Heavy volume selling while on a down day is not a good sign: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/downvolume.asp

@Siva68

The current conversion price for Vivocom-WE is RM0.05 per share, which means after consolidation the conversion price will be RM0.50 per share.

Regardless of the price of Vivocom-WE, you will still need to pay RM0.50 per share to convert 1 Vivocom-WE into 1 Vivocom share.

Your formula (pay the difference) is wrong.

@Riaz1954

There are currently 2M legal foreign workers and 3M undocumented illegal foreign workers in Malaysia.

CLSA assumes MYEG charges a fee of RM35 per foreign worker permit renewal, RM130 per insurance sold (50% take up rate), and RM1-2k per job match (assume 15% market share in 2021).

A larger foreign worker base will lead to a greater number of foreign worker permit renewals processed, insurance sold, and job matches conducted, which are recurring in nature.

Hence, not employing foreign workers will reduce MYEG's revenue & subsequently profit.

@RainT

The reason MYEG's share price is dropping is because of the government's decision to reduce reliance on foreign workers.

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/malaysia-only-allow-foreign-workers-construction-plantation-agriculture-sectors

"The government has decided that only three sectors — construction, plantation and agriculture — will be allowed to employ foreign workers in future to cut the nation's reliance on foreign workers.

Deputy Human Resources Minister Awang Hashim said other sectors that currently use foreign workers will be required to employ locals instead."

Like I previously wrote, this is what I came up with to explain Vivocom’s elephant queues on both buy and sell sides.

Since 99.99% of share consolidation cases result in average drop in share price by 60% over the next 9 months, maybe:

1. Share consolidation rumour causing big shareholders to sell first and buy back later
2. Share consolidation rumour causing big shareholders to exit permanently
3. Share consolidation rumour causing ikan bilis to queue to exit (doesn't look like it's ikan bilis sellers though)
4. Operator using reverse psychology by putting up heavy sell queue, make us think there are a lot of sellers at 4.5-5.5c, baiting us to sell and they buy at 3-4c
5. Operator using double reverse psychology by putting up heavy sell queue, make us think they're trying to collect at 3-4c, so we buy at 3-4c, but actually they just wanna clear their shares that they bought at 1.5-2c

Stock

It seems like buyers are backing off out of respect to the operator.

Nobody knows how many shares operator has, but should have more than 2 billion shares.

With 2 billion shares, they can easily press the share price down to 2c and suppress there, which they have been doing for 2 years, or rotate and play another counter.

Operator has deep pocket anyway, can play waiting game for another few years.
