Nobody know which company will earn more in the 2nd quarter. Now both companies are on the 风口 since crack spread is keep on increasing. Just sell high and buy low between petronm and HY.

Both share price tend to follow each other.

HY and Petronm both are involves in refinery. The best strategy to deal with HY and Petronm is buy both and then sell the one who go up first. After selling, buy the remained one which is still stagnant or lagging behind. Please check both historical share prices. Nobody know which company will show excellent result in the coming quarter.

Diesel price even higher 52.395, up 10%. This will even bring more profit to HY since it can produce more diesel

HY need time to show us what they have achieved in 2017. Be patient.

Q2 result should be able to reflect the high crack spread. Q1 got too many unexpected event which erode the profit. Petronm and HY both also got hedging loss. Even more, HY got inventory write down RM 131558000 probably due to purchase of Russian oil. Without the write down, total profit for HY will be RM 179014000 or EPS RM 0.597.

The 1Q 2022 performance was mainly contributed by improved crack for Mogas, Gasoil and Jet Oil fuel,
coupled with increase in sales volume as compared to the corresponding period in 1Q 2021.

Q1 result is good. Earn more than corresponding period. Just less than our high expectations.

Q1 result before hedging and other loss is quite amazing. Now my head is full of questions how the hedging and inventory write down lead to erosion of profit. Fortunately, the management tean also mentioned the crack spread contribute to the profit of Q1. This mean that crack spread will contribute more to Q2 profit since the crack spread is much higher in Q2. So does the sale volume.

Somemore Ron97 just increase another 37 cent today. Refinery margin still attractive here. I can't find any reason to stop me from buying HY.

I just top up WC 25. Trading volume for HY is low- only 19931 compared to Tue and Wed. Not sure still got how many contra player remained. Buy or sell depend on what you believe. All adult and must be responsible for own behavior.

Agree @ profit profits. C22 settlement next week. Current problem in oil price is limited refinery capacity. I have no idea what share to invest after dumping HY which is ride on the current rise trend. Plantation stock? Labour shortage and skyrocket fertilizer cost.

HYR sure will earn big. Will know how much earning next few days. So does the target price. RM 20 or RM 50. However, journey to RM 20 is not easy and straightforward.
