for this kind of stock, volume play a role. Strong volume indicates momentum. Today 39m volume is a highest record even for past 6 months. Traders may buy as a bullish bias could be present above this level

So will Msia property prices drop? my own opinion is no. With economy weaken there are more ppl who prefer to hold cash. Investment in housing likewise, would be another option to protect the wealth. The demand is strong as well as holding power.
A lot of developer prefer to hold their launch due to worry on weak market sentiment and also the cooling measures. Yes we are seeing few projects and many hold back. Thus, a lack of supply in current property market.
Less supply and strong demand = price will unlikely to drop.
Instead, I think there is still room to move up further with weaken ringgit. Why? looking at current rules, foreigner is allow to purchase house with minimum RM1 mil. But with current market rate of ~RM900/sqft and above, a house is easily worth over a million in most city area. With ringgit value dropping, the housing price in this region has become attractive to oversea buyers, who looking to buy and earn rental (as local cannot afford to own, the rent market will grow), and those MM2H to take advantage of cheap ringgit to the property. That add more fuel into the demand overall...

kakashit, yes and no.
During 2008 financial crisis yes majority US housing drop to very low level. A nice house bungle at Bay area SF selling for USD$200k+ only in year 2011. And within few years in 2015 this house worth USD$1.4mil. I am sure you can find many of this example if you browse the property web. Compare 2011 and today.
At good location, it will rebound very fast, even if they drop.
So the property bubble in US, or the sub-prime crisis, was due to loan arrangements for borrowers with a poor credit history. As you borrow money to someone who higher chance to default the loan, you can imagine the consequences what come after.
In compare to Msia. Our bank has tightened the loan and criteria for eligible applicant. Thus, this minimize the risk of similar crisis.
