Just remember , no matter how low u buy this shar during the past few weeks , u CANNOT sell cos they purposely keep the price within a range , so if u sell or buy no profit also, except for a few token lots ( which is also too small a profit) so u are stuck, but only for the profiteering people, if u investor, ypu just keep buying in small quantities all year long as soon as u got money. Ypu also buy ifu think it is more cheap to average down and collect.

RHB maintains 'buy' on CIMB

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has said that its buffers remain comfortable despite some need for top-ups as more borrowers apply for repayment relief given the latest moratorium.

"The banking group is maintaining its 80-90bps credit cost guidance for now, but acknowledges the heightened uncertainties, especially in Malaysia.

"There could be some further top-up provisions (hinges on the lockdown period) but management reiterated that the existing pre-emptive buffers are still sufficient," said RHB Research in a note following a briefing.

The portion of Malaysian consumer loans on relief programmes fell to as low as 6% in end-May versus 14% in end-Dec 2020 but has since climbed higher, given the latest iteration of the moratorium.

In terms of applicant mix, management is seeing more new applicants versus repeat applicants).

CIMB expects the overall portion to peak under 20%, given the nuances in the latest moratorium.

The opt-in nature and interest accrual would deter opportunists from applying for this relief while modification losses should be lower as well.

RHB Research, which has a "buy" call on the stock with a target price of RM5.20, said CIMB's overall operations and asset quality are still stable.

"We take comfort that the decline in the number of borrowers on relief programmes up to end-May has freed up provision buffers to absorb the latest round of lockdowns.

"This also decreases the immediate need to make significantly higher provisions, and buys management time to observe the trends first," it said.

It added however that the situation remains uncertain and there could be a need for some top-ups.

Commenting on CIMB's 2Q results, RHB said CIMB's topline trend was decent with net interest income supported by favourable net interest margin movement while non-interest income declined quarter-on-uyqarter on lower unit-trust/wealth management income.

Opex grew year-on-year from a low base but 1H21 trajectory was within guidance, due to tight control on personnel and marketing expenses.

KUALA LUMPUR (July 6): Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd’s share price rose more than 8% in Bursa Malaysia morning trade today after closing up for four consecutive trading days on bargain hunting and as investors weighed the engineering solution provider’s outlook after the company formally appointed Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd (EY) as its special independent reviewer in a widely-watched corporate dispute involving the company's statutory audit matters.

At 10.05am today, Bursa’s most active stock Serba Dinamik’s share price had pared gains at 51 sen, with 352.33 million shares transacted, after rising as much as four sen or 8.25% to 52.5 sen earlier.

At 51 sen, the company had a market value of about RM1.89 billion based on its 3.71 billion issued shares.

Prior to today, Serba Dinamik’s share price already closed up for four consecutive days — last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and yesterday — after the stock finished at a record low of 32 sen last Tuesday.

The company’s share price had fallen to current levels from its closing price of RM1.61 on May 25, 2021.

Last Friday, Serba Dinamik said the appointment of EY as the special independent reviewer of its financials aims to assess the accuracy of matters highlighted by the company's former external auditor KPMG PLT.

Serba Dinamik said in a Bursa filing that the decision to formalise EY’s appointment as the special independent reviewer followed discussions between the company and Bursa, during which EY was deemed "fit for the engagement” due to its reputation as one of the Big Four auditing firms.

Serba Dinamik has been in the news since the end of May, when the company announced that KPMG had informed the firm of some matters pertaining to its statutory audit.

According to Serba Dinamik’s Bursa filing on May 25, the company was in the midst of appointing an independent firm to commence a special independent review to assess the accuracy of the matters.

On May 28, Serba Dinamik said in a response to Bursa’s query that the matters highlighted by KPMG on May 3 relate to, among others, certain customers’ confirmation relating to sales transactions and trade receivables.

The matters highlighted by KPMG include "trade receivables balances and sales transactions for information technology contracts”, the company added.

The Edge also categorised Serba as Hot Stock
