Bonus issues is not purely to reward shareholders only but to boost liquidity and this will have an adverse effect on its share price movement. Keep in mind that this will be limited because it's priced in and vivocom will have to sort out the impending problems within the company.

Announces 1-for-4 bonus issue
■ Vivocom has proposed a 1:4 bonus issue.
■ Not a surprise despite the fact that the last bonus issue took place in Oct 15.
■ We are neutral on this exercise as the stock is already very liquid. Maintain Add.
Proposed 1:4 bonus issue
● The company has proposed a 1:4 bonus issue, which will boost its issued shares
from 2.6bn shares to 3.2bn shares. The company expects to complete the bonus
issue in about two months, after shareholders’ approval. The last bonus issue was
1:3 in Oct 15, just nine months ago. The current bonus proposal does not come as a
surprise to us as management had already hinted at this during their 1Q16 results.
We are neutral on this exercise
● While bonus issues typically boost retail investor interest in a stock that suffers from a
lack of trading liquidity, Vivocom does not have this problem. At the existing share
base of 2.6bn shares and a 57% free float, it is frequently already on the top 10 in
terms of volume on Bursa Malaysia.
Immediate focus on CEO tenure
● Feedback from speaking to retail, high-net worth and institutional clients reveal that
investors’ immediate focus will be on the uncertainty surrounding CEO Dr Yeoh’s
position in Vivocom. We believe that this should be made clear to investors to lift the
overhang on near-term sentiment on the stock as there has been a great deal of
speculation on the reasons for his potential early retirement.
Tenderbook is not just about CRCC
● Vivocom’s RM900m in new contract wins this year has been from non-CRCC clients,
which is testimony that it is not just reliant on CRCC for job wins. It also announced
that it is finalising a RM600m contract in Perak. Of its RM4bn order pipeline, only
about 30% are CRCC contracts (c.RM1.1bn – Gemas JB double track and Penang
major roads). The recent tie-up with China Nuclear Engineering paves the way for an
additional strategic partner with a mega Chinese contractor.

“It is not just an intention, he (Yeoh) was determined to go. It is just a matter of time before he tenders [his letter] to the board,” a source tells The Edge.
Since his appointment, Yeoh has been widely seen as a white knight for beleaguered Instacom. He was the key person who channelled construction subcontracts from CRCC to the group.
Yeoh become sole CEO on May 25 following the resignation of Anne Kung Soo Ching.
“It will disrupt Vivocom’s long-term plan in achieving RM3 billion construction revenue by 2018 as the bulk of the company’s contracts were secured through his relationship with CRCC,” says another source.
“It will also be a challenge for Vivocom to achieve its target of RM600 million in revenue this year as construction works are progressing slower than expected,” he adds.
When contacted, Vivocom executive director Choo Seng Choon did not refute market talk of Yeoh’s early retirement.
“[There is] no issue in terms of business development. He (Yeoh) is 60 and it is not wrong for him to have a retirement plan since he is in that age group already. However, I have not received anything official,” Choo replied via a text message.
“No one is indispensable, including me,” he added.

Anne Kung retired officially announced 25-May-2016 and Dato Seri Dr Yeoh's departure as CEO was leaked on 27-June-2016. Still cannot sense something is not right? How can the CRCC-enabler not be the captain and take a back seat? This is a strong signal to you all.........................
