Virus t if i not mistaken sumatec produce oil at cost above 80 per berrel, now price was down below 70 per barrel so they are making loss for every barrel produce, so be careful...

Saudi controls OPEC? Only nominally, by virtue of its top production volume in the group. But OPEC is not like a mountain that will stand forever. It could collapse is enough disgruntled members band together and walk away.

Russia also has production cost. So, Russia is not in the picture?

The only OPEC member benefiting from increased production and low price is Saudi, and maybe a few GCC friends of Saudi. The rest of OPEC are all wounded and hurting big time. This Saudi game will not last.

You might be right about one thing. That 6 months - 1 year thing. But that is all.

All kinds of pressure, political etc., will be put on OPEC to cut production and allow prices to return to normal. Exploiting the deep divisions within OPEC too, of course.

And what5 if the geo-politics get really, really dirty. What if US declares Saudi a rogue state, then imposes sanctions on it. Do not think that this is such an impossible scenario. After all, if Saudi behaviour is directly hurting US economic interests, you think US will just take it sitting down and watching?

And any such kind of punitive, or semi-punitive, or quasi-punitive, political-economic action on Saudi will easily get support from many high-cost oil producers.

Saudi is gonna win in oil price face-off against US, Russia, Norway?

Fat chance.

You hv not read Suma recent quarter earning report then, apparently. RM24.6 mil profit from RM42.2 mil revenue. That is a profit margin of over 58.2%. Maybe you could quote some public listed big guns who hv managed to beat that in their last quarter earnings report.

No, HS is not in the business of pushing up or down penny stocks. He is in the serious business of running a proper O&G company. And, judging by Suma's last quarter earnings report, he is not doing that badly at all.

I was in this one once before, around Hari Raya Puasa time. Well it was IFCA-MSC WA to be precise. I was going for for some quick profit, but it was not yet the right time. And I sold out before profit came. But now it just seems to be unstoppable.

I tell ya all. Oil production has reached maximum. And oil price is nearing minimum.

Me too. One does not need a cluster of heavy-duty supercomputers to make 350k on a stock like Suma. I did it from mid October last year through to mid August this year. With practically nothing at all.

Will be doing it again.

Buy when price is good (i.e. low) and perception/sentiment is bad.

Sell when price is good (i.e. high) and perception/sentiment is good.

Remember, the market is like a bouncing ball. Never stops bouncing.

Flies up, falls down, flies up again, falls down again, and on and on and on and on.

Saudi' game is over. By insisting on vastly expanded production, purportedly for defending its so called market share, Saudi has ended up in a confrontational situation with practically everybody on earth. Iran, Libya, Venezuela, Norway, Russia, US, you name it.

Legitimate or otherwise, they all do not like what Saudi is doing.

This is not a clever game. It might earn Saudi some billion extra petro-dollars in the short term, but it is losing the goodwill of everybody in the long term.

Now, that OPEC meeting in Vienna, 'maintain production at current levels'. Doesn't that tell ya all something?

OPEC generally, and Saudi in particular, are under immense presure to cut production. They will do that at next OPEC meeting.

Oh, I sleep well every nite. Like to play in fun, not in pain. Unlike some people.
