Hi Warmblood bro, given to the manpower involve between AJ & the rest is quite simple as the workforce of each plant is different ,just 1/3 of the blue collar will be affected as most of them is foreign worker, cost will increase by 2-3% of the total cost in labor.The bigger is the work force the more cost incurred indirectly.

But things will be different on the electricity tariff hike as those EAF will be seriously impaired by increase ,as much as 5% of the total cost where BF will be much efficient using recycle steam gas that will greatly reduce the start up cost of the furnace in long term.

If fund is limited, just concentrate on one sector with good fundamentals of dividend and performance instead of stocks giving yo-yo performances,

leoting: i would say too many Mega projects going to launch, just like today 4 billions package for LRT3...The local demands for long steel fluctuate from months to months, and now big 4's import scrap sufficient to catch with the current demands, therefore, they go for price war.

For export portion, you cannot monitor through daily market price update. It is inked and deliver on Q4. Apart from production capacity use for export market, Big 4 will use the rest production capacity to fight fiercely in local market as higher production capacity and machine utilization can significantly bring down the overhead cost.

Personally, i think the price war is good as a strategy to eliminate those who intend to import long steel from other countries.
