增强医疗贡献 嘉隆发展减依赖种植业


（吉隆坡17日讯）嘉隆发展（TDM，2054，主板种植股）计划增强其医疗业务贡献，并减少对种植业务的依赖。

嘉隆发展主席拿督罗斯兰阿旺接受《The Edge》财经日报访问时表示，公司计划把种植业对总营业额的贡献比例减低，从现有的85%至90%，降至70%。

无论如何，公司总财务长阿米尔莫哈末表示，为了应对日渐严峻的竞争，公司仍会加强这两项业务的品牌。

在种植业务方面，嘉隆发展将通过提高营运效率，以减低成本和提高产量。

公司计划通过升级棕油提炼厂的前端系统与棕油回收系统，在今年把榨油率提升1%。

公司在登嘉楼拥有两座棕油提炼厂，每年能提炼60万吨鲜果串。

新堆肥厂年底启用

同时，阿米尔表示，公司约24%的棕油树仍属未成熟阶段，因此，未来将积极贡献鲜果串产量。

另外，阿米尔就公司第二座生物有机肥堆肥厂在2013年12月投入运作表示，有关生物有机肥并不外销，仅应付公司需求，不会带来盈利。

同时，公司在关丹医疗中心将在2014年初开幕，而瓜拉登加楼专科医院预计在2016年竣工。
