The prospect for TNB earning in the next half year of 2023 is likely to remain positive, based on the following factors:
The electricity demand is expected to recover as the Covid-19 pandemic situation improves and the economic activities resume.
The fuel costs are expected to stabilise or decline as the global coal price moderates and the gas price for Tier 2 reduces from RM62.1 per one million British thermal units (mmbtu) in 1Q23 to RM55.5 per mmbtu in 2Q231.
The ICPT mechanism is expected to provide a cost recovery mechanism for TNB to pass through any changes in fuel and generation costs to the customers, subject to the government’s approval.
The government is expected to pay the outstanding ICPT receivables of RM10.2 billion by 2Q23, which will improve TNB’s cash flow and liquidity position.
The data centre projects are expected to provide new sources of revenue and growth opportunities for TNB, as well as increase its investments in transmission and distribution assets and beyond kilowatt-hour services.
The regional connectivity projects are expected to enhance TNB’s role as a regional player and enable it to export renewable energy to neighbouring countries.
According to analysts’ consensus estimates, TNB is expected to report a net profit of RM4.6 billion for FY23, which implies a growth of 8.7% from FY222. The average target price for TNB is RM11.9 per share, which implies a potential upside of 14.4% from the current price of RM9.100 per share

I concur with SuperPanda that we trade base on the company fundamental and the sentiment. I bought VS when it was at $1.15 and i am still holding it till today. In fact, i plan to buy more if it manages to touch 2.60

The reason i am asking this is because my brother is working in CPI and he is under pressure to deliver and assist CPI to make the 25mil profit for 2018. Or else, he may face the pressure to be out of job... sad..

Hi, as i read the acquiring of CPI through the link,
(https://themalaysianreserve.com/2018/02/15/kumpulan-perangsang-selango...),
could anyone able to explain to me the statement
"The deal comes with a profit guarantee of not less than RM25 million for CPI’s financial year 2018 (FY18) and a net profit of not less than RM26 million in FY19."?

HapSeng never failed us in the past as i monitored the trend in the last two years. Don't trigger panic selling. It will be rebounded when hitting 3.75 as support.

I have been following the trend of EPS / EBIT for this counter since 2000 and they never disappointed me.

Fundamental wise, TopGlov is still strong. Their EBIT has been improved as compare with the same Q3 2013. I would expect the next race will break through the Resistance of 4.700.

No matter how, it is still a better bet than those companies managed by cronies from U#M0. At least, it is more transparent.

4.) Which are the top 1/2/3 FFB Yield Plantation Company in Malaysia?

I do agree with Darren Kho. In fact, my company CEO comes from Accounting background. But, we hire independent consultant / auditor to conduct ROI for every investment in our machinery. Though, we are not the listed company in EMS, but being a Manager in the company, i enjoy up to 4 months year end bonus in the past 10 years.
So, i still reiterate make use of the right person in the right portfolio is rather important to move the company ahead.
As such, i still go for SuperMX...

As a CEO, you just don't have time to manage all those Engineering stuff. Looking for market expansion is a prime. We can hire Chemist / Chemical Engineer to do NPI & Process Improvement as according to our expectation.

It is important to have Sales & Marketing guys run the business. We need to explore and expand the market's size. As everything is talking about P&L. It serves no purpose to have Engineering guy run the company but neglect on the market's need.

Why there are other plantations able to achieve ~24 MT/ha as against FGV’s only 19.59 MT/ha for FY13?
2014-05-10 14:23 | Report Abuse
Go for SuperMX. As there is great potential in this counter from the movement of their PE, EPS and past track records. At least, they are not badly hit due to wrong investment in China as what TopGlov had experienced.
